I shot this while counting the 19 measures of rest you're seeing. Some notes on this music would have made it a bit more interesting, I think. There is no way color would make this shot look good, so I converted to black and white using the B&W Kev's Secret Formula layer in onOne. I also used a Focal Point layer in onOne.

Reconciliation

In 1995, 50 years after the end of the Second World War this sculpture by Josefina de Vasconcellos has been given by Richard Branson as a token of reconciliation.

An identical sulpture has been placed on behalf of the people of Coventry in the Peace Garden, Hirosima, Japan.

Both sculptures remind us that, in the face of destructive forces, hun=man dignity and love will triumph over disaster and bring nations together in respect and peace.

It's meassage and imagery was used in The Queen's Christmas Speech December 25th 2014, just a few weeks after I had taken these pic's.

Taken during an outing as part of a photo-course being run by David Harding out of the Percival Guildhouse. Met and spent some time in Coventry Old Cathedral and then split up to find images out and about in the area Including the New Cathedral, Cov Uni buildings etc etc.

Introduction

Christian Music Video | Live in the Light | "The Prayer of God’s People" | www.holyspiritspeaks.org/videos/the-prayer-of-god-people-mv/ | Gospel Music Videos

I

God’s people are raised before His throne, many prayers in their hearts.

God blesses all who return to Him; they all live in the light.

Pray the Holy Spirit enlightens God’s word that we fully know God’s will.

May all people cherish God’s word and come seeking to know God.

May God give us more of His grace, so our dispositions can change.

May God perfect us to become one heart and mind with Him.

May God discipline us so we can fulfill our duty to Him.

May the Holy Spirit daily guide us to preach and witness God.

II

May all people know good from bad, put truth into practice.

May God punish evil doers and His church be undisturbed.

May all people offer true love to God most pleasant and sweet.

May God remove all hindrance so we can give our all for God.

May God keep our hearts loving God, not leaving God.

May those preordained by God return into His presence.

May the people all sing their praise to God who has attained glory.

May God be with His people, keep us living in God’s love.

May God be with His people, keep us living in God’s love.

For anyone familiar with Newfoundland history and Captain Bob Bartlett from Brigus, Newfoundland. This Hymnal is from his family home and was owned by his sister. She graciously presented these books to my father in law quite a few years ago. They are a real treasure.

My mother crocheted this years ago. I had it cleaned and professionally framed.

An assignment at my photoclub was to make a self portrait of yourself, without your picture in it, so I put together some of collectables, and my favorite things. It was fun to make this, everyone should try it.

A couple members in the club guessed it was me, because they know I bake. I also won the best photograph of the self portrait award.

Our Father, who art in heaven,

hallowed be thy name.

Thy Kingdom come,

thy will be done,

on earth as it is in heaven

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses,

as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation,

but deliver us from evil.

For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory. for ever and ever. Amen

Continuing on my quest to see how close to true macro I can get with this Cell-cam, here is the latest in a series of attempts that began a year or so back.

This photo, albeit a ways from being sharp, is straight from the camera (no cropping - no processing) and was taken with no additional lens attachment. It is also photographed through an additional waterproof lens cover in the phone case.

The image is printed on the back side of a Stanhope (optical bijou), that is mounted in a necklace pendant. (See snapshot below)

The optical bijou, or "lens", itself measures .100" in diameter. According to my calculations, the microphotograph measures approximately .036" across (best guess estimate as I have no accurate way of measuring the text). If this isn't true macro, it's just pretty close. The sensor in my Cell-cam measures .169" x .227", according to listed specs.

I do believe this might be about the best I'm going to see out of the Cell-cam. I'm happy now.

The Lord's Prayer - Bourbaki version

The first stone church at Puddletown in Dorset was built in the ninth or tenth centuries. The present Church of St Mary the Virgin has undergone many alterations and additions since then, particularly in the early fourteenth and the fifteenth centuries.

Inside, the gallery, box pews, font cover and altar rails were part of a major refurbishment following a visitation by Archbishop Laud in 1634. The gallery has a '1635' date carved on it. The columns supporting the gallery were hand carved, and you can still see the adze marks on them. Pasted on to the gallery balustrade is a fascinating old handwritten list of choir members. Hanging under the gallery are fire buckets provided by Sun Insurance and dating from 1805.

Some of the box pews still have pegs on which the parishioners could hang their top hats.

The wall-paintings are from the seventeenth century and depict Biblical texts including the Lord's Prayer.

The font is twelfth century, and is an unusual beaker shape.

In the Athelhampton Chapel are a number of tombs of the Martyn family of Northampton. Particularly fine is the effigy of Sir William Martyn (died 1503, around thirty years after the date of the effigy). Around his neck is a collar decorated with roses, which is explained by his Yorkist sympathies during the Wars of the Roses. At his feet is a monkey (the emblem of the Martyn family) in chains.

The church is strongly associated with the writer Thomas Hardy. Members of Hardy's family were in the orchestra which played in the gallery, before the organ was installed. Puddletown became Weatherbury in Hardy's novels; on the church tower is a gargoyle, which in 'Far From the Madding Crowd' poured water onto Fanny Robin's grave, to ruin the flowers that Sergeant Troy (asleep in the north porch) had planted there; and in the churchyard is the grave of Hardy's uncle, John Anstell, the model for Jude Fawley in 'Jude the Obscure'.

When I saw this sign, I had to take a picture of it.

According to the label underneath, this was carved by Corporal Edwin M Caines while serving in France during World War I. He was reported missing in action around 1915, and his family presented the fretwork to the church in 1990.

...I shot this riding shotgun doing 70 on the 395 through the glass so I know there are a lot of technical problems with this image but I was awestruck by it's power-- Our Father, who art in Heaven...... .

Written in stone. Makes it a concrete fact!
