I used this picture in a piece I wrote and published on The Distillery District blog about John and Lise Sloan of Cafe Uno 29 Jan 2012, which is a cute little sandwich spot that is trying to be more upscale and is hosting $30 extra special events. Read about the Valentines Day Dinner special at Cafe Uno and know that the place serves all manner of coffee and loose leaf teas and offers free wireless internet which make it an excellent venue for informal meetings.

Oh boy does this smell good. 🍃

Mondays are just plain freaking crazy days of the week for me. I'm in class a total of 81/2 hours, I miss meals, I don't get my half hour nap, and by the end of the day, I'm struggling to stay positive.

I literally think my loose leaf tea ball is the only thing that keeps me half alive. (and if you're giggling right now because I said tea ball, grow up and stop following my photo project.)

I would highly recommend any kind of tea for the stressed out college student and I would highly NOT recommend any type of energy drink, EVER. I don't care how much you "need" it, how long of a day you've had, blah blah blah. I've never had an energy drink in my entire life and I'm doing just dandy. Granted, I do drink the occasional espresso, HOWEVER, it does not contain the preservatives, sugar, and general crap of an energy drink, so I consider it acceptable.

And on that note, have a fantastic Monday.

A game of croquet or plate of cucumber sandwiches is

not a necessity for a tru English Afternoon Tea. There is a very special tea blend that is a marriage made in heaven between two of the great tea-producing regions of India, a rich malty Assam and a delicate and elegant Darjeeling.

This tea is a medium bodied blend has a light finish and a dose of

dazzle proving to be an ideal pick me up. So take a moment to recharge those batteries with a refreshing afternoon blend found at www.jeevesandjericho.com/AFTERNOON-TEA

Our friends on the Emerald Isle are still the world

champions when it comes to drinking tea and we are

sure they will approve of our strong and malty blend. As

will all our fellow tea drinkers who love their tea with a

bit of body and richness.

The Irish Brew is a full bodied brew that stands up to even the

biggest fry-up or ‘Ulster fry’. A great morning blend

that is less perfumed than English Breakfast but with a

bigger heart and more body and can only ever be found at www.jeevesandjericho.com/IRISH-BREW

T Cafe hosts a variety of premium, loose leaf teas.

first shoot tethering my camera, went really well.

Again from the Afro-Arab market off Lawrence in Chicago. This is an Iranian tea (as far as I can tell the writing is in Farsi, not Urdu or Arabic) and tastes/smells/looks like an English Breakfast tea blend. Not as musky as a Pekoe, but nice a full. Comes in a huuuuuge bag.

I think these are loose tea mixes from around the world in one bigger store at the end of the Farmer's Market Quebec City.

My husband really likes his loose leaf tea. He orders bunches of it from a company called Adagio Teas via the internet. Sometimes, the tea comes in pouches, but, if he gets some of the "fandom blends" they come in these extremely cute tins.

Our delicate and naturally fragrant whole leaves are produced using only the tender two leaves and the young bud - the most nutrient rich parts of the tea plant (not the broken, isolated crushed plant parts normally used in tea bags).

This exotic blend is made up of China and Indian black teas taking

inspiration from the Silk Road trading routes from centuries

gone by.

Smokey Russian Caravan is a delicious road to travel down, evoking the images of the long journey this tea would have taken.

Using age old flavours of a bold black tea with hints of

smokiness, courtesy of the Lapsang Souchong, it is like

passing through a smoldering alpine forest. This is tea

with a sense of adventure and a must for those looking for excitment in their cup www.jeevesandjericho.com/SMOKEY-RUSSIAN-CARAVAN
