Day 178/365:

Macro Monday - Tea

Definitely dreaming - Favourite drink

I bought this Jubilee tea from a lovely little shop in Norfolk. It consists of black tea, dried peach and mallow flowers. It's delicious but unfortunately it's a limited edition tea so I may not be able to get more. It's definitely my favourite tea. I bought the tea spoon from Teavana during one of our trips to America, back when we used to travel. HMM

Tea is to the body

as music is to the soul.

Thanks for views, faves and comments! ;-)

Happy Monday dear friends, I looooved taking this photo as my kitchen intensely smelled like lavender. What you see here is the "Lavender Lemon" loose leaf tea mix pouring from its bag onto the table and surrounding my cup of steaming tea on the back. The yellow cubes you see on the front are little (7 mm) lemon peel cubes which give the tea an amazing aroma, that is completed by blue lavender flowers and rosehip.

Have a great week ahead, and don't forget to enjoy the warm weather. Thank you for your visit :)

Get your loose leaf tea in London's Borough Market.

Until I pick up about 20 more canisters in April. ;-)

Theme: RECOMMENDATION

I recommend... TEA. (Because of course I would, lol) Bag tea, loose leaf, sweet tea, instant tea, tea lattes, whatever way you like it, I will always recommend tea. 🍵😆

tea, yo.

Tea and teapot from Petali Teas

This is my favorite tea at the moment; it is a Chinese jasmine green. It has a wonderful aroma and taste, so good for cold winter mornings. We are bracing for a foot or more of snow today and then below zero temps. I plan to hibernate indoors... and drink tea (and maybe some stronger stuff later)... and watch it snow... and put up more Christmas decorations and watch it snow some more.

Hope you are well my friends. And thank you so much for all your wonderful words, suggestions and encouragement in my previous post. Your kindness lifted my spirits. :-)

(Wednesday, 12 May 2010) It was a dreary day in Upstate New York. Perfect excuse to brew some Spring Darjeeling from Adagio Teas.

Other than a quick run to to the store the other night, I have remained at home. So, another tea photo it is. This time sans cat.

It’s a pretty tea. I liked it too. Which really surprised me because licorice is in the ingredient list and I am not a big fan of licorice. I could really taste the ginger and what I assume is the lemongrass.

1.Buy good quality loose leaf tea.

2.Boil the water then wait 2minutes.

3.At this point do not pre heat the teapot.

4.But a pinch of tea in per person and strangely for me it works just fine.

5.Pour the water into the pot, the ideal temperature is 95 degrees but who wants to measure with a thermometer.

6.Wait either 3- or 5-minutes dependent on the tea before pouring.

7.If the tea is large leaf I don’t bother with a tea strainer but that is up to the individual.

8.Then add milk, sugar, lemon or just nothing.

9.Enjoy.

Tea is my joy in life apart from photography. There are specialist shops that sell many types of tea and worth investgating. I'm no expert but if the water is too hot you don't get the full taste of the oils in the tea. I personally enjoy the tea black or with milk just depends how I want it.

The coloured tea timer is set at 3-4-5 minutes and works like an egg timer.

These are all 50g bags of our products. We have different colour labels for each type of tea. Each label also contains the tea info, ingredients list and steeping time + temperature. The reverse side is transparent, so you can see how beautiful the tea looks before brewing up a delicious cup.
