Or, I Killed the Dramway part2. I mean, it begs the question, just what do they have behind there that makes it so important that no one walks past it?
These shapes are the essence of Bisti, its building blocks, the loose parts of a natural assembly set. I have walked past them many times, always wondering how to meaningfully communicate them. Then, on one clear day last summer, the composition suddenly presented itself. In the end, it was so simple that it made me smile. I hope it brings smile to your face as well.
Macro Mondays - Tea
I couldn't figure out how to bring this old strainer to life, so I added a tea light to the tea strainer and it all came together.
Not pretty, but hard working & showing its wear from daily use back in the day.
HMM to All :)
Useful, no doubt, when lobster boats are tied up here, but nothing was on this rope today. There's no lobstering now, to protect endangered right whales in local waters.
Just some thread

Close-up candid street photography from Glasgow, Scotland. I loved the gentle summer breeze teasing her hair across her face. The loose strands complimenting that 'lost in thought' look. Enjoy full screen by pressing 'L' or clicking on the image.
Streptosolen is a monotypic genus of flowering plants of the family Solanaceae. It is closely related to the genus Browallia, within which it was originally placed. The single species, Streptosolen jamesonii, the marmalade bush or fire bush, is an evergreen shrub bearing loose clusters of flowers which change gradually from yellow to red as they develop, resulting in an overall appearance resembling orange marmalade (whence the name), found in open woodlands in Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, and Peru. Straggling, evergreen, shrub, clothed in rough, short hairs, 1.5–2 m in height, densely branched, bearing abundant glandular trichomes. The red colouration (at maturity) of the flowers of Streptosolen jamesonii is typical of that of bird-pollinated flowers, as also is their lack of a strong scent and secretion of a great deal of nectar. The iridescent green hummingbird species Chlorostilbon poortmani, the short-tailed emerald, is a frequent visitor to the flowers of Streptosolen jamesonii, pollinating them as it hovers to sip their nectar. 11467

" Shortly after we left the war torn planet of Atraken and returned to the Republic cruiser Endurance, I received my platoon's... or rather my next assignment. My orders were to select three troopers from my platoon and then report to the Internal Security Bureau on Coruscant. There we would be briefed on an under cover mission with the objective of infiltrating the bounty hunter guild which appeared to be thriving within Coruscant's lower levels. This mission would be dangerous probably the most dangerous one the Republic has thrown at the 253rd, we weren't going up against battle droids this time instead we would be going up against ruthless and trained killers. Originally I planned on going solo on this one, but I eventually agreeded to let Lucky tag along. After a quick visit to the Endurance's armory Lucky and I no longer looked like the disciplined faceless soldiers we were meant to be. Instead of our standard shiny white armor we wore a mix of cloth and steel.
It was here in the armory where an angry Rook confronted me about me decision to bench the rest of the platoon. Though no matter how compelling his argument was my decision stayed the same. We had just barley made it off Atraken without a signal casualtie and there was no way in hell that I was going to risk loosing anyone on the Republic's homeworld..."

loose cover made today for the sewing machine replacing the original fitted white plastic cover. when not in use the sewing machine sits on a table at the other end of the room opposite a comfy recliner and two seater. much nicer to see bold colour than white plastic :)
the original fitted white plastic cover that came with the machine is under this loose colourful cover www.sewingmachinesales.co.uk/sewingmachineparts/trolley-b...

I bought some loose tea. carefully weighed and packed in a reusable bag.
Today was the turn of Russian Caravan tea, which is a long time fave.
I dreamt of a leaf on my fingertips,
I saw it unfold between my lips.
It was not dry, this green loose leaf
But it could not drink the rain's relief;
Its shadow grew tall below my hand,
It then took flight on the wind's command.
flickr today
It sure feels good to be back. Here's my awesome cousin again, always a fun model to work with :)

Coastal zones face many threats from the past and changing climate. In this image we see the impact of hurricane #Florence on the dunes of Oak Island, North Carolina. In a previous time, this home had constructed a sand fence to slow the air and build the sand dunes. Waves from the hurricane eroded the dune, exposing the fence posts. However, the dune did provide one of its ecological services by protecting the home nestled behind the dune.
