Happy Mono Monday!
An old but heavily used grain elevator. The gritty mood and stormy sky was there but the lightening strike is a Topaz filter!

When I went out with my Cyclop last Saturday to shoot some leaves, there were a few moments where the sun was behind the clouds. This lack of direct sunlight then created a nice mood like in this picture. I hope you like it!
and having fun :-))

Now, I am not a railroad guy (other than taking pictures), but I don't think this is a good thing. I could be mistaken, though.

You see it all around you
Good lovin' gone bad
And usually it's too late when you, realize what you had
And my mind goes back to a girl I left some years ago (Who told me)
Just hold on loosely
But don't let go
If you cling to tightly
You're gonna lose control
Your baby needs someone to believe in
And a whole lot of space to breathe in
It's so damn easy, when your feelings are such
To overprotect her, to love her too much
And my mind goes back to a girl I left some years ago (Who told me)
Just hold on loosely
But don't let go
If you cling too tight babe
You're gonna loose control
Your baby needs someone to believe in
And a whole lot of space to breathe in
Don't let her slip away
Sentimental fool
Don't let your heart get in her way
Yeah, yeah, yeah
I have a question about multiple ratio images. If I start up a website and want to offer multiple sizes: 5x7, 8x10, 13x19. How do I do that?
It seems like I would want to start with a loose crop such as what is shown above and then save is as multiple versions before doing the final crop individually for each size. If I crop it once as the final - I might lose critical parts of the image when I switch to a different ratio.
Up to now, with the exception of square format, all of my images have been custom sizes. Which is fine if I am selling custom framed prints. But if I want to sell images only or matted images so that people can buy their own standard frame and make it more affordable - then I become faced with this issue.
I added a note of where I might normally have cropped this image.
Any thoughts or ideas on how to proceed?
Terrific Thursday to you.

My Flickr
Since Tuesday is a slow day on Flickr, I know you won’t mind listening to my rant. Sand and gravel is what passes for paving on our back country roads. This doesn’t bother me so much as the sign that says “Loose Gravel”. Excuse me, but of course it is loose gravel. If it was attached to something it would be asphalt, tar and chips or even macadam. Loose gravel seems redundant to me and a waste of the taxpayers dollars for the sign. There are many gravel roads and driveways in this area. People describe them as e.g., “His place is down the gravel road - the second house on the left.“ No-one says down the loose gravel road. It sounds as if the gravel has escaped from somewhere. I can hear the quarry foreman now, “Hey, Charlie the gravel has escaped again. Round up the guys to put up the Loose Gravel signs!” I bet they have never gotten any of the gravel back either. Thank you for listening. You may resume your day now ... LOL
