Happy Mono Monday!
An old but heavily used grain elevator. The gritty mood and stormy sky was there but the lightening strike is a Topaz filter!

Whenever my garden starts loosing its colouful vitality and energy, and the lawn starts becoming multocolored by fallen leaves and petals, at the beginning of Autumn, I feel really down, because my garden starts its pre-hibernation period…
….But, on the other hand, it is really amazing how certain plants STILL go on blooming, independently of rains and negative météo, generally…
Here they are some, and very photogenic, I must say!!! 😊😊❤️❤️
Now, I am not a railroad guy (other than taking pictures), but I don't think this is a good thing. I could be mistaken, though.

I have a question about multiple ratio images. If I start up a website and want to offer multiple sizes: 5x7, 8x10, 13x19. How do I do that?
It seems like I would want to start with a loose crop such as what is shown above and then save is as multiple versions before doing the final crop individually for each size. If I crop it once as the final - I might lose critical parts of the image when I switch to a different ratio.
Up to now, with the exception of square format, all of my images have been custom sizes. Which is fine if I am selling custom framed prints. But if I want to sell images only or matted images so that people can buy their own standard frame and make it more affordable - then I become faced with this issue.
I added a note of where I might normally have cropped this image.
Any thoughts or ideas on how to proceed?

When i took this picture I felt emptiness and sadness thinking about the people that years ago traveled across the seas without finding land for long time, insecure, hoping to reach home eventually. But i also felt no limit, infinite possibilities, the fantasy to imagine your destination, no matter where you are. It's all about how you see the world around you.

Shot loads for this weeks Lost/Found theme, not sure which to post!
"Found" this in a junk shop way back when I was a student, never really kept time properly and has since gone "No Hands"!
Came upon this miniature angel yesterday as I wandered about the village cemetery. Yet another figurine left in tribute by a loved one on the grave of a family member. I'm drawn to these tiny memorials as if by gravitational pull. It's no longer even a conscious decision really. My thoughts are often scattered like loose change dropped on a bureau. Sometimes my mind goes to the figurine; other times the person's name; most often it's simply how the totality of the scene makes me feel. Here I was caught up in the contemplative sadness imbued in this tiny face, no more than an inch across. I love capturing macro focus views of things that were never intended to be examined so closely. It brings me in tune with a reality that is not discernible to most passers-by. Here I found a microcosm of despair. The only hint of brightness a mid-winter sky. Even that an illusion of sorts as it's nothing more than a reflection of color across the face of the inky blackness of a cold marble gravestone.
Today I was super lucky to see an ABA Code 4 Fieldfare! The bird was first found and stunningly photographed by Roger Beardmore and his wife Nan and their friends Peter and Sharon Lawless. It is the second record for the province of BC.
It took just shy of 5 hours to get there and it was a lovely drive.One of my fave twitches as it is a bird I have always wanted to see in BC. It was a lifer for me! ABA bird # 696 and BC Bird # 425. Many Birders from the Pacific Coast will twitch this bird and especially BC listers because the last record was a one day single observer sighting from 2003 by my friend Larry Cowan.
I was really struck by the elegant beauty of this bird.
Good luck to all who twitch this bird go ASAP because all the berries on the bushes are being heavily eaten by a large flock of Bohemian Waxwings and some Robins he's loosely hanging with.
Massive tricolored vulture with whitish head and neck, pale brown body, and contrasting dark flight feathers. Juveniles similar but with a pale brown rather than white neck ruff. Nests in colonies on cliff ledges; often seen in loose flocks soaring over valleys and mountainsides but always in search of updrafts and thermals. Still the commonest vulture over much of its breeding range. Some populations are resident while others are highly migratory. eBird
