There has been a lighthouse at Loop Head since 1670. Originally, it was a coal burning brazier on a platform on the roof of the cottage lighthouse where the lightkeeper lived. You can still see part of the old cottage on the site.
The first ‘tower’ lighthouse was built in 1802 and replaced with a new tower in 1854.
In 1869 its light changed from being fixed to flashing.
Its ‘character’ is a white light flashing 4 times every 20 seconds.
The lighthouse converted to electric operation in 1971 and was automated in 1991.

Shoot at the Loop 360 Bridge (The Pennybacker Bridge) about 20 min West of downtown Austin. One of the prettiest spots to shoot in all of Austin. I had to park my car on the side of the road and climb up some rocks to get this nice birds-eye view.

At approximately 4 miles long, Loop Trail is the longest trail in the park.
A 50-60 loop from SE Portland to Oregon City, Canby (over a ferry), West Linn, and Lake Oswego. Fiona and I took the bus near L.O. but only after we got thoroughly soaked! Nice to see old West Linn and have a nice day outing on the bike with great people. Also a plus to see Tizzy Town!
The Thakhek Loop, also known as the Konglor Loop or simply “the Loop”, is a 450-kilometre motorcycle journey through some of the most spectacular scenery in all of Laos. On the way you can do excursions by boat. I did the loop in four days with some friends. It was amazing!
