There has been a lighthouse at Loop Head since 1670. Originally, it was a coal burning brazier on a platform on the roof of the cottage lighthouse where the lightkeeper lived. You can still see part of the old cottage on the site.
The first ‘tower’ lighthouse was built in 1802 and replaced with a new tower in 1854.
In 1869 its light changed from being fixed to flashing.
Its ‘character’ is a white light flashing 4 times every 20 seconds.
The lighthouse converted to electric operation in 1971 and was automated in 1991.
Shoot at the Loop 360 Bridge (The Pennybacker Bridge) about 20 min West of downtown Austin. One of the prettiest spots to shoot in all of Austin. I had to park my car on the side of the road and climb up some rocks to get this nice birds-eye view.
All of these photos except for my natural light were shot in my basement against a dark green background. I really like how these turned out with the shadows. In the future I think I would take these with some kind of reflector to help soften up the shadowed side of the face.

Dooley and I passed along this stretch of the River Colne on our walk round the London Loop - the river is pretty but alas the industrial estate next to the path rather spoils the scenic aspects of the route.

the lighting was bad the shaded areas exposed perfectly but where the sun was got a bit over exposed but I still liked the way the waterfall turned out this waterfall is on Loop Creek in Thurmond WV
I was doing senior pictures for a friend of mine and this was us just messing around. Funny how things work out!

A rewind back to spring when the weather was reliable (!) and I completed another stage of the London LOOP. At Cockfosters, almost as soon as I left the station I found these beautiful blossom. Not sure what it was - not something I have seen before.
