An eye-catching moth, both because of its colouring and because it was larger than the myriad of other little moths on Peak Plain.

A few weeks ago I jumped at the chance to loop the loop in glider to raise money for the charity Hope and Aid, I am so glad I did, yesterday the day it was scheduled for nearly never happened due to the weather but luckily it ended up a lovely day and in the afternoon it all went ahead and it was thoroughly exhilirating. Something I would certainly love to do again.

Built in 1930, this Art Deco and Stripped Classical Revival-style building was designed by Ernest A. Grunsfeld, Jr. to serve as the Adler Planetarium, funded by a donation given by local businessman Max Adler to serve as a planetarium and astronomical museum for the city of Chicago. The original building is a dodecagon-shaped structure clad in granite, with the signs of the zodiac at each corner, two recessed doorways on the west facade, and a copper-clad dome. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places and designated a National Historic Landmark in 1987. The museum has expanded over time, with an underground addition, built in 1973, and a glass and stone-clad wing, known as the Sky Pavilion, wrapping the original building to the east, south, and north, added in 1999. The planetarium also has an astronomical observatory east of the planetarium, built in 1977. The building remains in use as a museum, home to multiple theaters and exhibit galleries on various levels.
