Looks like someone name Eliza had a clever idea for her salon :)
Seen on one of our downtown streets...
Looks a much better year for marbled white butterflies at Brockadale NR. Plenty around and this one spent a while sat on this milk thistle. had fears the population would crash after a couple of years on unfavourable spring conditions and low numbers.
Taken using an x 8 ND filter on a long exposure.
This place is really beautiful, got this shot just as the sun was disappearing.
Just a flash or two of lightning but this storm only resulted in a trace of rain. Taken 1 May during late afternoon.

Looks like some sharp roots lurking just under the water. Low water on Lake St. Lawrence has made for some interesting sightings of tree stumps that would otherwise be submerged.
Looks like half a cylindrical rain water tank sitting on the back of a truck. Spotted on the way into work.

This is the family picture taken before we immigrated from the Netherlands to Canada. I am the only blonde in the pic! LOL .. We found this special little book a few months ago in which my dad had recorded our names and birth dates . It made my heart sad and happy at the same time!! Thanks to lenabem-anna for the texture!
Thanks so much for your visits! I really appreciate them!
I am often amazed as I walk around Belliseria just how much it looks like.. well a home. LL and the LDPW really did a fantastic job.
Shenandoah Valley. The population was 285 at the 2020 census. It is situated at the confluence of the Potomac and Shenandoah rivers, where the U.S. states of Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia meet. It is the easternmost town in West Virginia and during the Civil War was the northernmost point of Confederate-controlled territory. It has been called, speaking of the Civil War, "the best strategic point in the whole South"
We all have those days. You get in from a busy day at work - with a stomach ache, might I add - sit down to eat your dinner and would you believe it? A chestburster. Not another one. And then, as your horrified wife asks if you meant to keep that monster, you explain to her that you'd wanted one for a while and would be forever indebted to her if she let you keep it, and that you're a bit preoccupied to be having this conversation right now.
