We were a bit apprehensive of this approaching Lion as it keep walking towards our jeep. But to our great relief it just walked pass us as if we were not there!

4:52 - Abandoned
You can fill in the story with your own imagination :)
I was going to post a recent image that I shot for this theme, but kept coming back to this one from last summer, because it was like a double abandonment. The flowers that were left there; and the man (in my mind) who waited there to give them to her, and she never came...
I was out most of the day and will do my best to catch up with you on the weekend.
New Holland Honeyeater (Phylidonyris novaehollandiae)
We went for a walk to the Heathdale - Glen Orden Wetlands today. There were very few birds around. While waiting to see if the Reed Warblers - that we could hear in the reeds in the pond behind the local Events Centre - would pop up for a shot, this Honeyeater saw something tasty on the 'branch' below.

Tibetan mastiff momma Tula and her son, fast growing Iron, galloping through tidal waters at Friskney mud flats, Lincolnshire in glorious weather
A teneral Damselfly I found today at Wollaton Park, not sure on species, thinking Ischnura elegans. This one was a great subject, almost looks like it was posing for a portrait.
This was a 13 image focus stack, I used my Canon 1000D and shot using JPEGS, ISO 200, aperture F/5.6 and a 1/160 shutter speed. I used a diffused flash in ETTL mode.
Zooooommmmm
Looks like the bird is trying to contend with a big seed. If I'm not mistaken, they tend to go for smaller seeds due to their small beak and mouth.
This looks like all solid land but it is actually a bog. It is so thick that I can walk on it without falling through. You can feel the squishy nature of it though. :D
I hope everyone enjoys this image! :D
