beads - Looking close...on friday!

This oil painting is one of my favourites ever--the bold colours vibrate the essence of Spring, and the thrust of tulips upward. As a photo, however, outside the context of it being framed and hanging on a wall, it seemed more powerful flipped on it's side, suggesting movement forward--no disrespect to the artist!

Unfortunately I don't know the name of the artist, but I do know this came from a gallery in Quebec City, Canada.

I guess I'm doing that

Trying to find a memory in a dark room..."

Looking Close on Friday... ZIPPER

Can you feel the difference in the words we say?

I know you feel this difference and I won't go away

'Cause I have something you want, I have something you want

And I have something you want, I have something you want...

I love this kind of weather and, above all, the atmosphere it creates. This situation also always gives me a clear deck and unobstructed view. So, folks, hold on tight and dive into these fjords.

I've never before seen as many red-winged blackbirds as I have this year. They seem to be really multiplying in Central New Jersey.

My husband and I saw this bobcat while we were driving today, and it disappeared into the wooded area. We decided to take a walk through a path in the woods to see if we could spot the bobcat again or our deer herd. As we were walking back on the path, we see the bobcat walking ahead of us in the distance. It would walk on the path and then see something in the woods and then appear on the path again. We kept our distance, and it didn't seem to care. At one point we caught up to it and the bobcat gave us an over the shoulder look and then continued on.

Berkeley's T-Rex in one of the science buildings--part of the collection of the small paleontology museum. He greets all visitors to the science library. I’m standing in the library looking out through a big window into the atrium.

Remember reading about the very small arms this dinosaur had? Scientists have no explanation, as of yet.

The ACR bought a couple rebuilt GP40's from NRE I believe less than a year before the WC bought the ACR. The twins numbered 190-191 worked passenger assignment nearly steady in there ACR days. Train 4 heads south as it rounds a tight curve I often shot south of Searchmont on October 2, 1994. 190 leads 200 and 191 along with 27 cars on a beautiful fall afternoon.
