It was announced that Tote Ireland are to sponsor one of Ireland’s top staying chases, the Punchestown Gold Cup. The race will now be called the “thetote.com Punchestown Gold Cup”, promoting Tote Ireland’s online pool betting website. The 2012 Gold Cup is valued at €140,000 with €85,400 going to the winner. The race has recently been highlighted as a possible option for 2011 Cheltenham Gold Cup winner Long Run and will as usual attract all of Ireland’s leading staying chasers.

Because they are due to head home soon, so I've got no need of pictures of them, the redwings seem to be posing nicely at the moment.
Two runners run side by side at the “You Can Shine 馬拉松新丁育成訓練計劃,” a weekly meetup intended for new comers to get familiarise with marathon runs (aka 長跑 long run in Chinese). It takes place every Thursday at the Ma On Shan Sports Ground at 7pm [1]. A lot of these runners wear shirts with 香港長跑網 longrun.hk logos, a community online for people who enjoy marathons [2].
Taken with the 6D + 100-400 at 12800 ISO — my new walk around setup at night. Processed as BW because grains are more forgiving then color noise for some reasons…

If your Wabis don't look this ugly once every 1 to 2 months then you will not be able to make them very lush on the longrun. I find regular pruning more and more crucial, since otherwise plants get tired and thin up.
I only advise a UG carpet in a flat bowl like the Echino Mix to someone really committed... Its a pain to prune cause there is no way to submerge the bowl unless you have a huge aquarium or barrel which I don't have.
The reason I pruned the UG is that it became so thick that it started to die at a spot. The "ring" of dead plants grew very rapidly. In my theory a lot of ammonium was generated, it killed the adjacent plants which in turn killed the next row etc. I think I stopped the process but now I have a hole in the front of the carpet
One more thing. About a week ago I stopped spaying the Echino Mix with Do!Aqua be-Bright to try and pursue the Red Diamond to become emersed. It did not make the plant do so. All I achieved was that the leaves lost their beautiful red color, as you can see. I am back at regular spraying with be-Bright now.

Caught not one but two heavy rain showers on today's longrun ☔️ - Planerade 10 men hade en bra känsla i kroppen och landade slutligen på 26 km. Överraskades (eller inte nuförtiden) av inte ett utan två regnväder på hem. At night, the Ma On Shan Sports Ground (馬鞍山運動場) is a multi-use facility. On the left near the stadium seats, a group of mostly senior citizens practice tai-chi. On the track, locals jog outdoor. The soccer field usually has a game on but it appears that it is currently on maintenance. To the right of the field, a group from Longrun.hk came for their Thursday practice.
# Workflow
This was shot with the 6D + 17-40 on tripod with the new Manfrotto 303SPH pano head. The trick for pano heads is setting the nodal point / entrance pupil / no-parallax point correctly. And it would seem based on this perfect stitch that I did do a pretty good job (self-pat on the back).
In my first processing, I enabled profile correction in Lightroom and export stills to Autopano Giga (APG) and it came out terribly—because I did not realize that APG also apply lens correction. So I did another try and import RAW directly into APG and it appeared ok now. Pretty handy. I used to have to export JPGs to Hugin because Hugin does not read RAW files.
Stitched together using 10 captures at 36-degree angles for a complete 360.
I shot these at ISO 400 with couple-second long exposure so the identity of the people will not be apparent. And you will see that the transit of the moon in the sky is quite fast.

Say hello to my little friend - Tänkte undvika klockbilder men bestämde mig för att testa en ny klocka idag på långpasset istället för min Garmin 610. Suunto är okej på mycket medan Garmin är kung på löpning, så enkelt är det. Det är ett flertal funktioner från Garmin jag saknar, bl.a Virtual pacer, larmfunktioner och intervallmöjligheterna. Testade lägga till appar på Suunton men de verkar bara strula. Statistiken och siten man ser på datat från #Garmin är bättre. upaflash: For a serious runner it's a toy. @pf_runner. Gps, elapsed time and tempo was all I could use from it. Belive Suunto calls it a adventureclock, might be more correct.
