“A sunny chill post! I kinda like how the seen turns out! thanks to kim for helping me too! I hope you guys love it as much as i do! Thank you for all the love and support! “
Tucked away in a log shed near the blacksmiths shop at Pioneer Village at Caesar Creek in southwestern Ohio.
Our logshed Keyhole for Macro Mondays. Shot from inside, with board to blackout the window, and spray Magican smoke to add atmosphere.
Keyhole is 1.25" tall, and very cobwebby hence the moving streamer through the bottom half...
Available light only on a dull day.
Processed in LR then an OnOne preset "Vintage Blue-Yellow" added, cause I liked it!

On the way back north to Roanoke, VA I stopped in an antique store I had passed on the way south in North Carolina.
Behind the store was a relic from olden farming times in the shape of a log storage shed.
Acrylic Paint on Canvas Board With Acrylic Gloss Polymer Medium. I painted this myself from a photo that I took in Historic New Harmony, IN. I could have made it more realistic, but then it's lacking in beauty. So I made it kinda Cutesy! Peace !
Don't know if these buildings are still at Explorer Park, because they decided to turn the park in a outdoor adventure park.

Henrieville is a town in Garfield County along Utah Scenic Byway 12 between Cannonville and Escalante, Utah. Highway 12 is a state highway designated an All-American Road in 2002. Print size 8x10 inches.

Seen along Beekman Ridge Road in Pike County, Ohio. It reminds me of the Lincoln Logs I played with many years ago.

Uncle Peter (my uncle in-law) tells me has been splitting logs for 70 years and despite a broken foot bone, split the pile on the left (and then some) in around an hour. Basically, faster than I could wheelbarrow the stuff away and stack it in the wood shed to season (right).
The lumber was from a huge copper beech planted as a sapling by his father 40 years ago, right in front of the family home. He told me his father hadn't learnt the lesson as his grandfather had a copper beech removed from a similar spot 50 years ago.
Uncly P is a walking 80 year old miracle. Ravaged by arthritis, he still swings an axe with subcentimetre accuracy. Despite most joints giving out, he still catches the bus downtown every day to his office, where he runs his own company. An old-school geologist, he still works out in the field every summer. He admits he is slowing a little and isn't doing 16hr days in the Yukon anymore.
His passion and verve are quite something; he still has a twinkle in his eye, especially when you get him talking shop. However, I can't help shake the feeling that he has literally worn himself out.

Winter is here, instead of buying a ready-made log shed, you may prefer to build it out of pallets. A wood store will provide ideal storage for your firewood to keep them tidy, dry and well ventilated.
If you start this project, remember to build one large enough to store at least one full load of logs. Another advice is also to consider dividing your logs into two different sections - one for seasoned wood ready to use and the other one with wood that requires further seasoning.
Beside the pleasure to build it, you can easily save several hundred dollars/euros/etc... Since log sheds can be found in this price range. Using 1 to 30 pallets, depending on the size of your log shed, here are below the best inspirations we found, with the links to sources when possible.

Part of the collonade between Forcett Hall and the stable buildings. Now home to some logs, some rubble, and a toy lawn-mower.
If you'd rather not have your solar panels on the roof of your house, then why not put them on another building.
For this installation we fitted Solvis 250W black panels with an Eltek inverter onto a cartshed. Installed by midsummersolar.co.uk

Interesting outbuilding with a mix of lumber materials and heavily chinked timbers.
