A full breakdown of the logo process to follow on my blog.

But briefly, the idea was to avoid the usual cliché associations with photography logos as well as the wedding photography.

There were several key elements to this project. Incorporating the visual association of photography, weddings, and also illumination.

The challenge was to create a logomark that summed up all these associations in one stylish and simple mark without looking tacky or cliche.

The breakdown thus consists of the main black circle which hints at a camera lens, the white eclipse shape hints at both a lens reflection and also a moon/eclipse which is the association with 'illumination/illumina', Finally the wedding clue is the diamond posisition so that is also looks like its part of a wedding ring, also part of the eclipse.

The idea was to create a subtle romantic feeling with the above associations, without looking too sterile, or again, cliche.

I didn't want to make any one element too obvious, more a combination of subtle cues, but when in context work nicely.

Gotham Black was used for the main wording and Trajan Bold was used for the tag line.

Had a cool and unexpected meeting today with a senior designer who works at EXIT festival. They wanna hire me, but as a full time job. Now, this is an awesome offer. I`m going on that festival for the last 10 years constantly and this would be really an honor working with guys over there. They`re producing some amazing design. But, full time kinda bothers me cuz i`d have to almost completely leave my freelance work and most likely personal projects. I`m still not sure will i accept that or not.. However, it def made my day. :)

Concept: Expanded dollar sign where left middle stem is forming an letter E (first initial) with the 3 horizontal lines and a small ladders to portray grow and a path for the extension.

So many logos with so many leaves. So trying to find a 'fresh' take/idea that allowed the leaf to be an integral part of the logo, rather than just a bolt on, was essential.

Find the right font for this was crucial, one that flowed correctly and allowed me to shape the leaf and stem to match the flow of the font.

Plus the 'id' makes a great icon and favicon etc.
