Sunrise touches the Autumn leaves at dawn on the last day of our total lockdown. From tomorrow the restrictions will ease and life will begin to return to normal. Quite unexpectedly, I've enjoyed putting life on hold for this period, with time for contemplation and taking stock...

Lockdown (Tier 3)

I have set myself a lockdown challenge too only take photos in my garden or from my garden. It is going to be interesting to see what effect this has on my photographic skills. With no travelling involved I will be able to take advantage of the change in the light conditions, and hopefully this will help me improve my eye for a composition.

Stay safe Stay Home.

Scruffy, showery Autumn weather, but the Crepe Myrtle

( Lagerstroemia) brightens the garden in the late afternoon.

In the park, the benches have red and white tape across them. It gets pulled off every day.

Captured while on an exercise walk during the 1st national lockdown of the coronavirus pandemic in April 2020. Captured in full accordance with restrictions and regulations that were in force at the time.

Stay safe everyone!

Ultimamente cammino in campagna come una sonnambula, mi perdo nei colori della natura che sembrano ancora piu' vividi del solito. Questo rosso mi sembrava quasi troppo violento da guardare, dopo mesi passati in casa. Effetti del lockdown.

Can't pretend that I am not tired of it all. Twelve months of trying to do the right thing yet hardly seeing the rest of the family. The daily exercise has little excitement, and a trip to the supermarket is like a day out.

The Oak tree still stands, so I thought I would take some anniversary photos before restrictions ease

Photo taken during the fairfun in Nantes. These children playing in a bubble evoke the periods of confinement during the pandemic.

Ironically a more positive development, these bubbles are now a fairground attraction...

using aquacolors and a pencil is an alternative at home than going out with a camera for street photography.

This delicious fruit dedicated to Andrea !

Lockdown has taken enough of my time. In the train to Amsterdam and 30 minutes later I’m wandering through a deserted town. I will show you some places, one every day if possible.

12 weeks ago I set myself the task of knitting a blanket for my bed. Finally as lockdown eases the blanket is finished and in use.

Sydney has been locked down for weeks it stems from coronavirus. We have been asked to stay at home. There were very few people in the streets when I went to buy my Chinese food. The shopping centre was nearly empty.

"Lockdown" is defined as the state in which you can see the tap and the way home at the same time, as there is no one in between
