After working various customers in the Marlborough area CSX L004 is seen southbound on the Fitchburg Secondary heading back to Framingham.
The Central Vermont might be long gone, however thanks to B&M historian-CMO Doug Phillips and the Mass Central RR keeps the EMD 567 tradition alive operating its only GP-9 occasionally while other engines in the fleet receive regular work. B&O built GP-9 now, MCER 1749 leads MCER daily train PA-2 through the village of Three Rivers, MA just north of Palmer. March 3, 2025.
For quite a while now- more than two months per a local- a YN2 GP40 has been in charge of the Tullahoma-Decherd local, along with its slug mate. The train is here seen departing Tullahoma, TN for a southbound run to Tyson Foods, and back as light engines.

We had some interesting weather conditions the last couple of days; too bad no sun and blue skies, but some minus temps and some winds did create a few nice artifacts over the nature and vegetation, where the winds had access....Thanks and ALL the BEST ,health and peace for the upcoming year. This young man and others in his department do a grand job in keeping Herford clean and tidy. Without him and other like him I dread to think what our town would be like.
A quick word about the camera. I love it for several reasons. The focusing is great for my needs, the colours are vibrant
and apart from a few quirks it's easy to use. I have found today that you need to do very little editing to the RAW pictures which is a real bonus. To me this is my Leica M9 without the fear of it being stolen.

A pretty crazy 661 local heads west into Bristol on the Appleton Sub, running 5x1. Originally, I was planning to shoot this with the bonnet duo leading, but that changed when a rock train was combined with the local in Webster. I guess if it had to be anything else leading, an ACe isn't the worst thing in the world...
For a year-and-a-half after Union Pacific closed Colorado’s Tennessee Pass as a through route on August 23, 1997, it still operated a one-a-week local from Pueblo to Malta, near Leadville, on a round trip that took two days. On January 9, 1998, Rio Grande GP40 No. 3075 and Cotton Belt GP40-2 No. 7291 power the short five-car local along the Arkansas River at Parkdale, Colorado, and is about to enter the Royal Gorge.

Last Sunday, I had a great opportunity to capture images inside a terrain with many young born sheeps. I like the attached a lot, as it creates some smile just when watching. Looking at local weather here today, just the opposite is happening. But there is not bad weather, just...All good weekend ahead. Thanks, Udo.
