Plenty of Water Dragons alongside the river. Lovely, patient, co-operative creatures that see you...run onto a sunny log...pause n' pose while you get your shot....then let you check your image... then (and only then) run away.
If only they breathed fire they'd be perfect.
This colorful one seems to be pretty new. You can see that the wall was painted recently to cover -up a previous graffiti. This electrical mini-substation is right next to the Rugby field where the annual Randfontein Show is held each year.

Santa Fe’s CF&I local passes the Union Depot in Pueblo, Colorado. Today’s train has twelve cars for the Colorado Fuel & Iron plant just south of this location.

La muestra ahonda en lo más sensible y mágico del mundo femenino y en la fuerza y capacidad de superación de las mujeres de Ananpur (Andhra Pradesh). La fotógrafa se acerca a ellas con un respeto reverencial.
La autora transita por un entorno de veredas encharcadas y claroscuros, buscando siempre en las profundidades de sus personajes para adentrarse en historias de la vida que enaltecen la condición humana.
A través de su obra, nos propone una particular forma de ver la India, un mundo complejo y fragmentado. Cada fotografía construye un código visual coherente y, sobre todo, trascendente.

The most photographed corner in Markyate, Hertfordshire. It is truly a central location. Straight ahead, the pharmacy (and, farther away, the "fish and chips" place); to the left, a pub; behind, the bakery.
One last image before a I go AWOL for a few days.
Each year on Christmas Eve the local Fire Brigade take Santa on a cruise around the local streets in a vintage fire truck. Santa and his Elves give out lollies to the children while all the adults get to have a chat and admire the truck.
I did feel a bit sorry for Santa in his suit in 33°C (91°F) heat!
I will look in occasionally but won't be around much until at least Friday.

The Northgate Local has just passed customs and crossed the border into the US to begin their journey back to civilization. The BNSF operates this former GN branch into Saskatchewan several days a week hauling AG products.

Grey squirrel..Tree-climbing nut buriers. Scampering grey squirrels are a familiar sight, but sadly these American imports have had a disastrous impact on the native red squirrel

Rio Grande GP30 No. 3003 leads a 30 car Tintic Local across the Dry Creek trestle just outside Springville, Utah on March 23, 1994. This section of track runs through the middle of a subdivision today.
I heard the rustle in the buttercups at the side of my local pond and found this it managed to fly out and hide in the reeds on the pond. I am sorry the light was not very good at the time,I would have tried flash but it flew off.

Eysrtahorn, Iceland.
Eystrahorn is a bit further east than iconic Vestrahorn and Stokksnes. It does offer however many cool settings for scenes featuring its imposing mountain. Here, on a sunny afternoon, storm clouds developed over range giving truth to saying that mountains make their own weather.
After doing some work in Logan, the Livingston Local sporting a pair of veteran GP35s heads east toward Manhattan.

Interesting weather yesterday... Sunny, windy cold, Cloudy, sunny, stormy, rain, sleet, snow, sun.. Etc. But I kind of love when it is time to go home and the tram is a bit steamy inside. Cool moody feel.

BNSF's East local out of Greybull Wyoming heads south through Manderson led by ex Santa Fe SD40-2 1880.
The local would deliver hoppers to three industries in Worland; Miller Coors barley elevator, Black Hills bentonite and the Wyoming Sugar company. They'd then head for Lucerne and exchange 13 bentonite clay empties, for 9 loads at the Wyo-Ben plant.
