Lighting was with an Alien Bee 800 shot with just the standard deflector and powered with a Vagabond.

I thought the placing of all these bikes had a nice touch to the surroundings as if someone overreacted to the sign aside :-)

The sign says "Loadingdock, Do not park here"

The purpose of the long dock was so the farmers could unload the trucks themselves instead of waiting for the workers to show up. The workers had to bring it all inside when they showed up in the afternoon.

The dock is decaying nicely. I like the way this looks with the snow and slush up there.

Being that this place is fairly isolated, I'm surprised there's not more graffiti on it.

This is my 2nd attempt at creating a fake tilt-shift model. What do you think? Vantage point: Stratosphere tower, Las Vegas!

This kid freakin' tore it up today. This is just a preview of the shoot I had with Tyler earlier today where I captured a bunch of him doing tricks off of ledges, I've never done a shoot like this before, it was definitely a looooot more work than a typical shoot , but well worth it. I'll post more from this shoot later on.

These equipment (bulldozer and a loader backhoe) had been purchased from Ritchie Brothers auction in Orlando area recently. Big Iron's shipping & logistics department will be handling the dismantling and containerization of these equipment.

Pictures of the equipment being delivered to Big Iron's shipping yard in Jacksonville, FL. Our new loading dock makes unloading of heavy equipment easy. Loading the containers from this loading dock will be as easy.

Visit us at www.bigiron4sale.com for more information about equipment dismantling and containerization.

... and so early in the morning I'd not had my coffee so I don't remember which company this is with its elegant fold-up loading dock on a narrow street. I have a feeling it might be one of the Cambridge Brands buildings. They're a subsidiary of the Tootsie Roll Company and make such candies as Charleston Chews, Junior Caramels, and some of the special Tootsie Roll minis. The air always smells sweet when you walk by, though not as sweet as when the Necco Wafer Factory used to churn them out just down the street. The two factories together made for an amazing rich walking experience... and on a breezy day you could tell which Necco Water flavor was being made that day from my then apartment almost a mile away. Sadly the Necco Wafer factory has moved- to Revere if I recall. View On Black

This on a wall at a loading dock. I'm not sure if the plastic crates are

part of the work, or if the Mona Lisa is to complement the crates that

get left on the loading dock.

Some think art can be expressed in emotions, I think we find our own emotions in art.

Around the back of the old abandoned Tri-County Mall you can see one of the old loading docks.

A 365 project (one photo for each day of 2013) to show you Des Moines, Iowa. By Darren Montufar.

I love finding old service entrances or loading docks that have either been bricked over or have seemingly been unused for decades. They are relics from a downtown area that has undergone many facelifts in the last 10 + years and they may disappear altogether in the years to come. Not sure if this loading dock is still in use but, apparently, parking near it is still prohibited just in case.

An abandoned Hayes railroad bumping post (bumper) in the Third Ward neighborhood in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. At one time, the Chicago and North Western served this industrial spur. This is now a Glorioso's food warehouse at 521 East Corcoran Street, between Jefferson and Jackson. Up until about 10 or 15 years ago, Union Pacific still served a few last customers in the Third Ward, but the swing bridge to access the Third Ward is now locked in a permanent open position and the approach track has been torn up, so freight trains will likely never roll through the Third Ward again (though The Hop streetcar now serves the north end of the 3rd Ward).

Never quite fulfilled its promise, angle and closeness to the driveway counted against success, however the scenes were quite neat.

I really like the way the vines and moss are taking over. Building is locked up tighter than a bull's rear-end. Lucky I got inside pics between '06 and '09 when it was wide open.
