A couple of days ago we had a semi come into one of our loading docks with a substantial oil leak. Luckily we discovered it before he drove away and blew up his engine.

This is what it looked like today. The colors really caught my attention. It's surprising how much it made the higher areas stand out

I was shocked to see all these old shopping carts (some which are from Babies R Us) just parked in the loading dock area, where they can easily be stolen. Hell, a homeless man was chilling a few yards behind me (and I saw a dirty old mattress behind another store, so somebody must "live" here). I would think a cart like this would be useful for him! Because that dude was nearby I didn't bother rummaging through that junk pile under the door. It's probably just garbage anyways, though I'm sure I'd come across some old gift cards, since those seem to be found at EVERY former TRU loading dock.

At the moment most of these trucks are busy. In another week they will not be busy here - the plant is closing down for two weeks due to a reported "parts shortage". Global semiconductors. Although it is a sad state of affairs the quiet will be refreshing. HFF
