well, I made the photo big to be the focus but then my title got big too......oh well! Sorry for the bad pic I finished this at night at the lighting isn't great....but heh I got it done!!! Yeah me! 21 layouts and still going strong!

Coal loading point at a drift mine in the Didao area of Jixi. The left side is for rail wagons and the right side for lorries.
Hoppers wagons are loaded up with coal at the Onllwyn wash plant for the onward journey to Immingham (6E09) headed by DB Shed 66221.
6Z20, DCR's 08:38 York Holgate - Butterwell box wagons stand at the Potland Burn Surface mine loading pad on 6 December 2013. The driver returns to the cab after detaching 56303 to enable it to run round. Towards the rear of the train wheeled loaders (sometimes called diggers or buckets) have begun loading the train.
66621 is the second Freightliner class 66 to load up with coal at Cwmbargoed today. Having arrived earlier working 4C94 06:47 East Usk Yard to Cwmbargoed.

For me, the appeal of this scene lays in the juxtaposition of the orderly patterning in the bricks against the abstractions of the distressed door. There is a ton of fine textures and detail in the subject so I designed the image to minimize complexity in lighting and composition keeping even lighting and nice orderly symmetry in the framing.

60020 'The Willows' has a bit of a day off with just load 5 on the 1029 Margam - Dee Marsh. 15-3-17.
I must say i was caught out a bit compositionally with this short load and it was flying up here faster than the preceding unit!

Ladies walking early morning, possibly off to work. The lady at the front seems sad, almost like she is carrying a heavy burden (pun intended). Taken in Kanyakumari, India.
These used to be loading docks for trains.
I used the 'infrared' preset in CS3's new Black & White tool.
Rock Island Railroad 5756 at Blue Island, Illinois on an unknown day in July 1982, Fujichrome by Chuck Zeiler. According to the October 1971 edition of the ORER ( Official Railway Equipment Register ), the Rock Island had 50 cars in the 5750 - 5799 number series, AAR class R206, and ( Note 45 ) "equipped with fork lift truck pallets, platforms or skids, which will be considered as part of the car and are in assigned service." Further, Note 88 states, "Cars in series 5750 to 5799 have 'PS-20' travel cushion underframe, are insulated and equipped with DF-B load divider bulkheads and load side fillers, single 10 ft. plug type sliding door."
My take on set 4201 Loader and Tipper, only in a futuristic style.

Slovakian 2019-built 600mm gauge 'TL16' Class 520 volts DC electric locomotive 'No.5' has just positioned the rake of four bogie hopper wagons for loading beneath the limestone loading point serving Wesling's Förderstedt quarry, near Stassfurt on 1st February 2024.

Phew - still sick - fever, aching, etc etc - didn't think I would do this but I pulled myself off the couch and threw it together. (With help from Studio Calico's Nicole Harper's LO that I lifted). Now back to bed!
