196 101 is hurtling through Danzey station with 5Z22 the 10.40 Tyseley LMD - Stratford-upon-Avon - Tyseley LMD test train. I had expected it to slow down, even make a simulated station stop but it did not, it went through like the wind! On the right is a brand new Great Western running in board, the previous incarnation was made of plywood and unfortunately it de-laminated, this new one is on timber planks and should last better. The platform is worthy of note, the Great Western were users of pine trees on rural stations and Danzey has many of them, at this time of year you are quite likely to get a pine cone on your head during a windy day, I am surprised Health & Safety do not insist on the use of hard hats to go with your mask. On the other platform is a raised section to allow for mobility access, it would be fine but that platform is only reached via a footbridge. Up-joined thinking methinks.
