*PRACTICAL PROTEST*
4th Street Bicycle Boulevard was an experiment.
It represented the collective desire of cyclists in Los Angeles to see the implementation of a system of so-called --"Bicycle Boulevards"
We have freeways, why not have bikeways?

*WHY 4TH STREET?*
As a road that is already used by cyclists crossing east-west between Hoover/Vermont and La Brea, 4th Street represents an important opportunity for the City of Los Angeles to rise to the challenge to create better, safer streets.
With some minor tweaks to the current infrastructure and some sort of signage system, 4th street could indeed be called a "Bicycle Boulevard."
The actions taken in this experiment were intended to raise consciousness about the needs of cyclists who bravely face the sometimes mean streets of Los Angeles.
