LKL Sūduvis (M52) is a minehunter of the Lithuanian Naval Force. Built in West Germany in 1957 as Koblenz (M1071), a Lindau-class (or Type 320) minesweeper for the German Navy, she was upgraded to a Type 331 minehunter in the 1970s. Germany donated Koblenz to the Lithuanian Naval Force in 1999. The ship, renamed Sūduvis, formed the nucleus of the Lithuanian Naval Force's Squadron of Mine-hunters, which was established on 22 June 1999. The squadron was augmented in 2001 with the similar donation of sister ship Marburg, which became Kursis (M51).

▶ Mindaugas (1203-1263) —the first Grand Duke of Lithuania and the nation's first and only king— is assumed to have been crowned king on 6 July 1253, establishing the nation of Lithuania.
▶ The exact date (and exact location) of his coronation is controversial, but 6 July is annually celebrated as an official Lithuanian holiday, known as "Lietuvos Valstybės Diena" (in English, "Lithuanian Statehood Day").

Seen in Rugby. This DAF is registered to Lithuania and it appears that the bumper has seen better days although I have never seen rusty DAF bumpers before.
This is a castle in Trakai, Lithuania. It's one of the most visited and most beautiful sights in the country. I spent one week in the village and i never get bored by looking at it, everyday it was different, with different light, different clouds...really worth visiting!
This is the first of my last shots in Kaunas, Lithuania.
Taken on Rotušės aikštė, it shows the two towers of the Church of St. Francis Xavier.

Open Air Museum of Lithuania is a unique and one of the largest (195 ha) open-air ethnographic museums in Europe. It has the biggest quantity of exhibits (90820 exhibits). The museum presents the mode of life, works, and traditions of peasants and townspeople of all Lithuanian ethnographic areas: Dzūkija, Aukštaitija, Suvalkija, Žemaitija and Lithuania Minor.
The Evangelical-Lutheran Church in Nida was built next to the old cemetery on a small hill and is still standing today. In October 1888 the church was built in Gothic style from red bricks. The organ is a work of the organ builder Gebauer from Königsberg (Prussia). The two altar lights were donated by Empress Auguste Viktoria. During the Soviet era, it was not used as a church. Today it is again a place of worship.
