Tech Cocktail had another fantastic Mixer and Startup Showcase event in Chicago last Thursday, September 26th sponsored by Cars.com. The event kicked off with a very captivating fireside chat with Harper Reed (CTO of Obama for America). The night also held a mixer for our 14 showcasing companies : 8th Stage, Amazing Lunch Club, eMazeME, ENFLUX, Furywing, LinkUp, MobileX Labs, Occassion, Pressbox, Reppio, Semester Planner, Stash, VideoJuice, WindyCitySDR. Special congratulations to Video Juice and Furywing for becoming Chicago’s “Hottest Startups” and winning a place at Tech Cocktail’s national competition, Tech Cocktail Celebrate (Celebrate.tech.co).

Pretty spiffy shoes. He wound up in the 305th Engineers in the 80th Division of Patton's 3rd Army. He won a Silver Star and was about a kilometer away from the linkup at the time the 4th Armored hooked up with the 101st Airborne to lift the siege of Bastogne. (His platoon was attached to the command that made the dash into Bastogne.) By the end of the war he was a 1st Lt.

Site clearance and piling for retaining wall

I make a lot of Christmas cards for kids so Gingerbread cookies are a must-have. I added a die cut tree by Sizzix and oval die by Gina Marie. Used Nuvo Drops for the candy buttons and white gel pen for the frosted features.

My goal for December is to finish putting these blocks together into a top. They are from a fun collection of spaceship fabrics from Connecting Threads that will make a great kid's quilt.
