Relaxing on the beach at Margaritaville Negril.

My Photograph Stormy Rye having been featured on the front page of the Getty link up has now been discussed and described in the first two paragraphs of this article.

Unfortunately there is no link to the photo or to my flickr account but it's still great to be mentioned as a photographer in the independant and for my photo to be chosen for the article.

I only noticed because a lot of traffic was suddenly being driven to that picture on my stream, but by searching for the name, as there was no trail using the stats so I did a search on google using the photo name and discovered the article.

I've dropped a message to the guy who wrote it on his answerphone so I'll have to wait and see if he gets back to me.

In case you cant read that the text is as follows and the article is here www.independent.co.uk/news/media/online/getty-sharpens-it...

A picture called "Stormy Rye" on the online photography behemoth Flickr.com shows dark, dramatic storm clouds looming over the rural town of Rye in East Sussex.

This shot, by Gregory Warran, is one of 585 on his Flickr page and has been viewed more than 600 times. It has received a plethora of comments and tagged as a "favourite" by 18 people. Also since 11 March, contained among its credit information is the line, "License this photo on Getty Images". The photograph, along with eight others by Warran, is part of the photo agency Getty Images' "Flickr Collection".

I was at the photo store today, dropping off my 28-135 to sell, and decided to test out the 85mm f/1.8. I must say wow. Beautiful focal length and its incredibly fast and quiet. I want it so bad. Soon. Very soon.

He was looking for a wireless trigger linkup system for his two canon and one sigma flash. i felt bad cause the guy at the store sold him the canon setup which is 350 bucks and i want to say something about getting some cheaper stuff that does the same but i didn't. :(

Elm Street Quilts One Monthly Goal March Linkup.

I would like to have this top pieced this month.

Smoke from some major forest fires in the Yosemite/Tuolumne area.

Over the course of our trip, a major wildfire (the so-called "Rim Fire") developed just west of Yosemite National Park in Tuolumne County. The fire, which began on August 17, had moved up to 6th on the list of California's largest wildfires and had charred nearly 200,000 acres by the time we did the TMC linkup on August 27. It was only 20% contained by this time, and the forecast predicted strong winds and hot weather, so it is likely it got even larger before it finally burned itself out. At the time we headed home, they had closed HWY 120 entering the west side of Yosemite National Park, ordered a mandatory evacuation for residences north of Old Yosemite Road, and closed some campgrounds and lodges. The raging blaze was expected to move farther into the park and threaten wildlife, giant sequoias, and the Hetch Hetchy Reservoir that provides most of San Francisco's water.

Ian '707' Smith raps with Junior "232" Smith at the 515 Radiogroup's first Family Funday at Lyssons Beach, St. Thomas held on July 18, 2007.

The pride of Jay's arsenal, this is a build I made him a while back, and it has been on him almost constantly in Midian since. Jay used to deal drugs for the Hounds, and was an addict himself, although also being a rather cunning devious fellow he experimented with the contents of the many syringes he used and began to use them as weapons. I used to sport alot on his AV but it has since become common place, and in an effort to regain that unique aspect of his image I build this (everyone has syringes and razorblades now - which Jay originally converted from his drug use to torture).

IC this is a military bracer, and is a battlefield medic's automated injector, and it's rather unimaginative name at the moment is the 'Apothecary bracer, Mk III'. This gadget includes a synced comm unit, computer, recording and other audio technology, a screen, basic substance analysis capabilities, self injector, 6 different samples of drug, varying shots of each, a vapour generator, satellite and internet linkup, a sword breaker, and the ability to pump blood taken from a person trhough the needle, into the wearer's blood stream. It is controlled via nerve impulse, manual switching, or cybernetic relay.

Some abilites came with the military bracer, some are added...

My May #onemonthlygoal is complete. The binding is piped and machine sewn. It should have been a quick goal to achieve, but May is yard clean-up and planting month in this neck of the woods, so finishing the binding kept getting pushed aside in favour of playing in the dirt!

The pattern is by Barbara Henning, and is in the 5th book of her strips series. I did this together with some quilting friends as a mystery - using up the strip set packages we had received as Christmas gifts.

Linking up with redletterquilts.blogspot.ca/2016/05/omg-its-finished-link...

It's also one of my Q2 goals for the #2016fal, so that one gets checked off as well :) #falQ2plaidnuthatch
