Praticamente já não há quem consegue viver sem ter uma conta email, seja para receber o newsletter daquele site favorito, para criar alguma conta online, ou até mesmo para executar aquilo que é a tarefa óbvia desta ferramenta importantíssima, que é comunicar-se com os amigos e familiares no cotidiano.
E o Hotmail (agora Outlook) que um dos serviços de email que veem sendo utilizado a anos por uma quantidade enorme de usuários, é sem sobra de dúvidas uma das primeiras opções que é levada em conta na hora de escolher uma ferramenta de email de qualidade.
Mas pelas alterações que veem sendo implantadas pela empresa que gerencia este serviço de email (a Microsoft), são muitas as dúvidas que giram em voltado do continuar ou não a usar o Hotmail, ou até mesmo se este é um boa escolha para ingressar no mundo das ferramentas mais convencionais de comunicação.
E com a mudança da terminação @hotmail.com para Outlook.com por volta de 2012 a 2013, muitas pessoas já haviam começado a pesar em largar os serviços de email da Microsoft, porém a empresa foi ardilosa e acabou por deixar a mudança da terminação do email como uma decisão a critério do usuário, mudando apenas o nome e visual da ferramenta de gerenciamento do email para Outlook.
Então, a grande pergunta é, vale a pena usar o Outlook?
Com o passar do tempo os dispositivos moveis e a internet registaram um grande avanço no que diz respeito a praticidade, fato que leva algumas pessoas a considerarem esta ferramenta pouco necessária, porém do outro lado ainda há aqueles que apoiam este software de gerenciamento do email.
Então, para podermos ter uma resposta satisfatória para esta pergunta é preciso entender como este software que é um dos mais famosos na gestão de correio eletrônico funciona.

O Outlook surpreende já pelo seu visual que lembra muito o design dos softwares da Microsoft Office, até porque o Outlook já veem no kit das ferramentas do Office.
Controle tudo a partir de um só lugar
O software da Microsoft conta com uma caixa de entrada que permite com que haja um interatividade com as redes sociais (como o Facebook e Twitter), uma vez que todas as publicações que são postadas nelas aparecem na caixa de entrada dos emails. O que sem sombra de dúvidas constitui uma forma bem fácil e prática de monitorar a sua atividade online numa única ferramenta.
Sem falar que para além de suportar uma conta de email da Microsoft, ainda é possível adicionar ao Outlook outros emails (como Gmail, Yahoo, Exchange, etc.) e conseguir monitorá-los ao mesmo tempo. E outro ponto importante, é o fato desta ferramenta de email oferecer uma organização inteligente das mensagens na caixa de entrada, onde há uma divisão entre emails “prioritários” e “outros”.
Organização de qualidade superior ao antigo Hotmail
Para além da divisão entre emails prioritários e os outros, o Outlook também cria uma pasta privada para o usuário, onde este pode facilmente visualizar os artigos anexados ou mesmo os do OneDrive, sem se misturar aos textos das mensagens.
O software ainda conta com opções que permitem integrar outros aplicativos tais como o Linkedln e o Dropbox. E pra fechar com chave de ouro, o Outlook não poderia cometer a faltar de não contar com as opções mais vagas como a de recuperar as mensagens eliminadas, tal como as outras ferramentais da concorrência o fazem.

Com a grande demanda por praticidade, não faria sentido se um software deste porte não estivesse disponível para dispositivos moveis. O Outlook mobile é bem leve, o que possibilita uma rodagem suave e sem subcarregar bastante o celular ou tablet.
Mas como na maioria das vezes tudo que é bom tem sempre uma pitadinha do lado ruí, a aplicação mobile ainda apresenta alguns probleminhas, pois este não é responsivo em telas menores no que diz respeito a exibição do conteúdo dos emails, e como medida para apaziguar essa situação, o software conta com uma barra de rolagem horizontal.
As desvantagens do Outlook
Apesar de ser um meio prático e simples, a organização de emails na caixa de entrada em duas camadas (os “prioritários” e “outros”) pode em algum momento ser um fator prejudicial a rapidez de navegação, uma vez que não é possível ver na mesma página todos os emails, havendo necessidade de trocar a cada instante de aba.
E o segundo problema, e que pelos vistos é o mais preocupante, é o fato da versão gratuita do software ser bombardeada por anúncios, o que em algum momento contribui negativamente na experiência do usuário.
Então, com estes aspectos sobre o Hotmail, ou melhor, Outlook em mente, você já pode fazer uma escolha consciente. E lembre-se sempre de adequar a escolha as funções que você procura em um serviço de email.
