I sectioned off several rectangles and then left a border between them. Then purposefully painted the intersecting lines inside the boxes different than the lines in the background. Also make a saturation difference.

Before it became artist spaces the Excelsior Lofts were planned to be condos when the economy took a turn. My studio space is in what was planned to be a livingroom.

Multi-color sketch done in intersecting lines and one in parallel lines. used the same color markers in both sketches.

Sectioned off the canvas into equal rectangles and then painted each one separately. I made sure the lines did not connect through.
