Reflections of two houses on the lake's edge with ripples on the water surface.
Oxford Lake
Oxford, Oakland County, Michigan
taken at the Macao Museum of Art in Macao. On the left is the Museum building, the golden reflection on wall is from the Sands Macao located behind the Macao Cultural Centre on the right. Sands Macao is owned and operated by the Las Vegas Sands Corporation
… you may notice that this was stitched with two photos, as the dot pattern on one appeared elevated and that of other appeared concave … but it was the same piece of wallpaper in the two photos, and both were captured with the same camera at the same location… it just the orientations of camera were different…

These are the incredible designs that were left behind in the sand after a strong tide has receded the beach. The lively manor of the pattern shows how each wave moved farther and farther back to create a striking scene for me to photograph.
The beach never disappoints.
Sloping wall of Lakya Dam covered with lush greenery during monsoon.
This is deceptively charming but the dam collects silt and wastage of the mining operations in Kudremukh.
This was painted in the same year as the other two, but earlier on. Our tutor here demonstrated a different technique each morning, by the quayside ( wonderful quirky harbour..love it!!! ) On this particular morning it was water soluble crayons, which intrigued me. Trying them out at first I was horrified at the screaming intensity ( when it wasn't wanted!!) of the brighter colours: blue and purple especially..but I persevered and gradually worked out a way of overcoming this by drawing very gently rather than heavily and then drawing on top of the lines, sensitively and not everywhere, to allow the grainyness of the crayon to stay. I loved the way, really runny, watery lines ran into one another and began to experiment with dots and textures on top, too. Black, I found was useful but to be used cautiously as it tended to deaden everything. On our one free afternoon I hared into St Andrew's, close by, and bought a huge multi-coloured tin of crayons..the little ones I considered a waste of time as I realised I was getting a lot more mileage out of the subtle colours...and the little tins just had 12 basics etc. 20 x14 inches on heavy rough watercolour paper

The other day I went to make morning coffee and saw this scene. The moon was still full and bright in the Morning! Grabbed a robe and headed out to shoot.
The buildings seen above are approx one mile away from the camera position. The two steel lattice towers are located at about half that distance.
Image was converted from RAW using ACR and then ONOne Phototools 2,5 plug-in applied , final pp tweaks in Photoshop CS3 and finally loaded into Topaz Clean for the resulting image posted above
Shot taken at 500 mm with the Sigma 150-500 mm. See the 'more properties' link for EXIF data.
