"Flowers don't worry about how they're going to bloom. They just open up and turn toward the light and that makes them beautiful." Jim Carrey
Every time I step outside my kitchen door I'm greeted with the heady scent of this beautiful lilac bush. When we built our house we were able to retain some of the more established shrubs and trees from the old cottage garden and this lilac bush was one of them :) Although its flowers are short lived it definitely deserves its place in the garden.
Many thanks for all the lovely comments and faves on my images. They are very much appreciated.
Went for a walk along the Niagara Park Way this past Summer and was pleasantly surprised by all the lilac bushes growing naturally along the River's edge. They smelled delightful as well.
I was walking by a park today and stopped as i sensed an amazing perfume in the air.
I looked and seen this lilac and the perfume was coming from here.
