On the way home from work @ 10:00 pm. Later, after getting off downtown, a bike shortcut via 10th and Everett to catch a earlier Yellow Line train at Old Town/Chinatown had me at home in North Portland from Beaverton in 45 minutes. Not bad...

A few weeks ago the photochallenge was "signs". I was planning on doing a shot of a trolley sign with the light rail passing through, however, I didn't really find a good spot to do that.

 

While walking around downtown San Jose, I found a pretty good spot where I can set up and wait. The first shot I took had the light rail really blurry so I increased the shutter speed for the second shot. I'm not sure if this is exactly what I was looking for, but it's a good start.

 

I would have stuck around for a third try but the light was fading.

San Francisco Muni Boeing-Vertol 1258A, signed for N Judah Sunset Blvd. This same sort of light rail vehicle was used in Boston on the Boston College and Riverside branches of the MBTA Green Line.
