NCTD is expectng their new Sprinter Light Rail trains at the end of the year. Count me in at the Grand Opening Celebration

The Calandlijn of the Rotterdam Metro is a mixed heavy metro/light rail line with considerable lengths of surface and elevated sections and several branches.

 

The train here uses 3rd rail current but the overhead line section is already visible in the background.

This is the crowd on a Southbound train to Camden Yards when the O's were playing the Yankees. The light rail was originally supposed to be to transport people to Camden Yards and help with traffice during games. This crowd pretty much shows why traffic on game nights is something to avoid.
