The voters of Clackamas County have rejected the light rail line connecting them to Portland. They don't want the Portland liberal hippie fag culture infecting their Tea Party way of life. Or something.
Since the County's already contractually obligated to the extension of the metro-area light rail system and construction - including a snazzy new bridge - is well underway, the transit agency is having to sue their ass.

The President's Conference Committe (PCC) streetcar concept was initiated in the early 1930's by the presidents of various American electric railways, in an effort to design a better streetcar to fend off competition from the automobile and buses in major cities.
This particular example is awaiting restoration at the Fox River Trolley Museum, and is a former San Francisco Municipal Railroad car.

Two of the three Hudson-Bergen routes terminate here--Hoboken to Weehawken, and Hoboken to Bayonne. With CN Tower and the Molson sign in the background, it must be Toronto. I was here in 1990 at a convention for work and didn't get much time to railfan, but I did think this was worth a shot. I didn't think at the time it would take almost 20 years for Minneapolis to have this type of essential public transit.
