Riga capital of Latvia, country near Baltic sea. Politically in East Europe, geographically in North Europe.

Riga is not just Old town and Art Nouveau district.

Riga is 304 km^2 where 640 000 people are living.

Those are new. Noticed them during an afternoon rain shower. Seems like they were nice shoes.

Lightpost in Red - Gaithersburg, MD

I managed to shred TWO of my tires today. That was a first for me.

 

They're doing work on Kingshighway. They've removed the normal road surface, which means the manhole covers are poking up. Apparently they're poking up in a way that's absolutely deadly to Prius tires. While I was waiting for my tow truck driver, I saw another couple go and take a picture of a different one of the manhole covers and then go sit in their car for a long time, so I'm guessing same thing happened to them.
