the guru says, "shoot manual!
...but i couldn't get the exp faster then 1/500...so it forced stops of f/10 or higher...
...but i wake up this morning all of a sudden the camera lets me crank exp to 1/4000...
...wat da heck?!?

I am taking a lighting class and learning the basics of lighting. Really easy and fun stuff. This is a sculpture I found at Goodwill. I made it look like a million bucks even though it is really cheap. Just goes to show you how good light quality can make things look better then they really are.
