I had intended to start getting caught up this morning and, of course, we had a power outage. So I'm sure I will be catching up in, well, days. Hope you all have been well and find a light to lead you to your heart's desire. ;-)
Anemones. Rather bright ones.
At some point in the next few days when the busy has become slightly less busy, I'll start actually commenting rather than appearing, upping, and running away in the direction of rich football club owners. Look, it's Abramovich! No, not really. Just that Glazer chancer.
Interior Nissan 370Z - Bluefish CGI
While its been a bit quieter at work recently, we wanted to create a few more interior images for the Bluefish portfolio. Generally over the last 8 years I've spent most of my time working on exterior renders so for me I wanted to really challenge myself and simply get out of my comfort zone (I know, scary...!) We wanted to see how much we could push the CG rendering and lighting side of things as well as stretch the retouching limits.
Also Blue Fish Productions has recently been featured in the latest online issue of Production Paradise. Hit the link to check it out:

This is a view looking up a car park ramp, which I used as my vantage point for some of my earlier work on Vegas architecture. The abstract and bizarre, mixed together, make Las Vegas a strange place.
Installed Ikea's halogen under-cabinet lighting system today. Very easy, and it looks amazing. We still have to resolve the center light, sink pendant situation ... basically I just need to pick out the fixtures. Baby-steps.
Putting together a Photography/Lighting class for the spring. Trying to see if there is any interest out there. It would be held in West Chester, PA and Philly over 2 days. The class would be concentrating on the techniques I use for studio and outdoor lighting, along with some post production tips. 10-15 people max. GOOD TIMES!!!!!!!!

"Lighting the Way:" It was raining so hard a few days ago, that trying to get long-exposure lightning shots while keeping the lens dry became a very challenging feat. Here is one just as the sun was setting (the blips of color in the background, which you can't see so well with all the clouds and rain in the foreground)!
