Victoria Mansion, also known as the Morse-Libby House, is the finest example of residential design from the pre-Civil War era in America. With superb architecture and well-preserved original interiors that were among the most lavish and sophisticated in their day, it is an unparalleled document of America’s highest aspirations in architecture, interior design, and the decorative arts.
Which light do you like? Maybe I would like the tree! The horizontal lines are from a car driving by. Not sure how fast it was going, but you can see how far it went in 1/30 of a second. So this is illuminating...if someone is texting while driving and they look down for only one second, if they are travelling at just 30mph, they've gone 44 feet. Interesting!
Here is the math: 5280 x 30 / 60 / 60 = 44
(For those on the metric system, 1 mile is 5280 feet x mph / 60 minutes / 60 seconds)

"O, beware, my lord, of jealousy!
It is the green-eyed monster."
Spoken by Iago in William Shakespeare, Othello, Act III, Scene III.
I installed a new light over the kitchen table today. You just know I had to play around with a camera after dark.

One of several projects, where as a harvester of images I stumble & lurch, part collector, part curator. Questioning time, presence, and possibility, amongst other ideas.

These are 3 of 13 chandeliers created by Dale Chihuly, in the Mayo Nurses Atrium of the Mayo Clinic, Gonda building.
Taken on 35mm film with a Mamiya camera in 2004.
What's the next direction? Is it something in the pic? Or is it in the song? Could be. . .

I took this from the Michigan Avenue Bridge. Here you can see East Wacker Drive at night. The docked boats are mostly for architecture tours and there's a pedestrian walkway along the river known as the Chicago Riverwalk. From this, you can also see how a lot of Chicago is built in two levels (the lower level is mostly for roadways and rail lines).
