“You are but a tiny cluster upon the vines of heaven, where the grapes are worlds; yet you hold the power to ripen your bitter berries and add to the eternal vintage of cosmic sweetness if so you will.”

" ... e sono fiori d’inverno
ma per un’altra stagione
oppure un altro ricordo
che adesso non so

cosa vorranno mai dire

non dicono più ... "

!LA! Dramatic Pit - Glasscore Pulse
Dramatic Pits — because great lighting doesn’t always come from above.
These mood-soaked mini stages are rigged with invisible spotlights that shine upward, casting bold shadows and cinematic glow right from the depths. Perfect for no-light environments, each pit delivers instant atmosphere with touch-activated presets like Noir, Solar, Dream Mint, and Inferno.
Drop one, strike a pose, and let the underlighting do what it does best:
lift you from the shadows and light you like a legend.
Because sometimes the drama? It starts from below.
I moved and played with the pit, and that brings other and exciting effects as well.. so much fun!

“August was nearly over - the month of apples and falling stars, the last care-free month for the school children. The days were not hot, but sunny and limpidly clear - the first sign of advancing autumn.”
― Victor Nekrasov
“But here I am in July, and why am I thinking about Christmas pudding? Probably because we always pine for what we do not have. The winter seems cozy and romantic in the hell of summer, but hot beaches and sunlight are what we yearn for all winter.”
Joanna Franklin Bell, Take a Load Off, Mona Jamborski
The small fishing boat "Mary Ellen," anchored in Stromness Harbour, off the Southend section of the town of Stromness (on the island of Mainland, Orkney, above the north coast of Scotland), as a shaft of sunlight reaches through a heavily overcast sky on a morning in early May that looked almost like evening.
The silhouettes of the low-lying Inner and Outer Holm are in the middle distance (towards the left, or north, and right or south, respectively). In the background, on the other side, fields and a moorland-capped hill of Orphir, which is on the same island, Mainland.

For this photo I used a very neutral PBR windlight plus the frostbite lights, moved them some further away for a very subtle effect.. Did I mention already how much I am obsessed with these light sets?? omgahhh!

Alcea is a genus of about 60 species of flowering plants in the mallow family Malvaceae, commonly known as the hollyhocks. They are native to Asia and Europe.
Hollyhocks are annual, biennial, or perennial plants usually taking an erect, unbranched form. The herbage usually has a coating of star-shaped hairs. The leaf blades are often lobed or toothed, and are borne on long petioles. The flowers may be solitary or arranged in fascicles or racemes. The notched petals are usually over three centimeters wide and may be pink, white, purple, or yellow. The fruit is a schizocarp, a dry disc divided into over 15 sections that contain seeds.
“I am learning peacefulness, lying by myself quietly, as the light lies on these white walls, this bed, these hands. I am nobody; I have nothing to do with explosions.”
Sylvia Plath, Ariel
"The little boy nodded at the peony and the peony seemed to nod back. The little boy was neat, clean and pretty. The peony was unchaste, dishevelled as peonies must be, and at the height of its beauty.(...) Every hour is filled with such moments, big with significance for someone."
Robertson Davies
"Little red devils with fire in their skin and hell in their seeds."
James Street (1903–1954), “The Grains of Paradise”
“Taking as deep a breath as the stays would allow, she became aware of a sweetly spicy scent in the air.
"What is that?" she murmured, drawing in the fragrance. "Cinnamon and wine..."
Lisa Kleypas, It Happened One Autumn
Four key events in the final hours of Jesus’ life are dramatically shown here (from left to right): Peter sheathing his sword after severing the ear of Malchus (seated), the high priest’s servant; Jesus miraculously restoring the ear; Judas betraying Jesus with a kiss; and Roman soldiers arresting Jesus. The compression of these events into one scene with its complex interweaving of figural masses creates a powerful sculptural statement.
In the medieval church the choir screen separated the nave and the choir area. By the thirteenth century these barriers often were decorated with extensive narrative themes, especially the Passion, the dramatic final events in the earthly life of Jesus. Because they hindered participation in church rituals by the laity, most European churches eventually eliminated them. The choir screen at the cathedral in Amiens was destroyed in 1755. This relief is one of the largest and best preserved narrative sculptures to survive.
