I've been staring at this fiber optic light for a really long time and decided to finally take some photos of it. I used my macro lens on my Tamron 75-300 and had a go. I put it under some lucite to see what would happen. I think I like the effects.

Details

Sleeping Beauty Castle - completed in 1992, for the park's 12 April opening, Le Château de la Belle au Bois Dormant stands 50 meters (160 ft) tall. The Castle is home to a dragon, which, at 27 meters (89 ft) from head to tail, was the largest Animatronic figure yet built when the park opened in April 1992. The walkthrough attraction consists of a dimly lit cavern with the large dragon sleeping silently. Occasionally it will 'wake up', puffing smoke and growling. The building also contains La Galerie de la Belle au Bois Dormant, a gallery of displays which illustrate the story of Sleeping Beauty in tapestries, stained glass windows and figures. La Boutique du Château, a shop selling Christmas ornaments year-round, and Merlin l'Enchanteur, a shop specialising in handmade glass figures, are located on ground floor.

From a very interesting original by t. madden titled, Gretchen Wilson.

I loved the lights in this shot. I used the lasso tool to select portions of the subject and extended them to get rid of the staging box in the foreground. I then duplicated some of the lights on the right and added them to the left on a couple layers. I cheged the hue of one from red to green. I used the elliptical marquee tool to make selections to apply different lens flares to. For these selections I used the "transform selection" function to sdjust the axis of the different ellipses.

I loved this panoramic shot. The colors were great and it was so well defined. I contrasted some and leveled the horizon just a bit using the distort function. I then selected the water, converted the image to CMYK and darkened the "Black" channel with some contrast. I also selected different portions using the regular lasso tool with a feather of about 25 pixels. I added a bunch of contrast to these quick selection to help the lighting some.
