I thought this was a very cool photo. I used mostly the lasso tool and a little airbrush eraser for this. I first added a bit of red and blue to the entire image to try and tone down the yellow cast I used the lasso to select portions of her skin and softened them on a seperate layer. I then selected her shirt and darkened a bit plus added some sharpening to bring out the ribbing more.

I added some swirls of light on a couple new layers and applied them as soft and hard light mode, usng the airbrush eraser to blend them in somewhat. I selected her eye using the lasso tool with a very strong feather and lightened ot some. I reworked the eye with the airbrush tool. I also selected her earring and brightened it quite a bit to try and get a metallic look to it.

Week#39 Inspired by the movie- "DeathProof" by James

The idea came to me while I was watching this movie. I took the movie poster and tried to recreate it right down to the "lighted" headlights effect. I took my 1/24 scale Camaro and made the neccessary angles. Below is what the original poster looked like.

Bought a new lens yesterday! Originally I was on the market for the Sigma 30mm f/1.4, but by chance I found an ad for this lens posted on craigslist. Actually, the ad I answered was for the Sigma 10-20mm, but after speaking to the nice person on the other end of a long series of email exchanges, it turned out that the Tamron he was selling was exactly what I needed. It's comparable to the Nikon 17-55mm f/2.8; however, is slightly smaller and lighter. Which I don't mind at all. If you look up the reviews it pretty much holds it own against the Nikkor version. So overall, I am very happy with the purchase, and really glad to have met the nice gent who sold it to me :)

I started from this fix that I first did:

I then added several images of guages on new layers. I used the hue function to change colors, and added a zoom radial blur to a couple. Once the blur was done I scaled it down to give it more of a perspective. I applied these layers with hard light, and screen modes to help them blend with the image. The shots of the guages have a pure black background too. I positioned the largest one as if the logo was the hub of the guage.
