This is for the Fix My Pic Please group,

from an original by J. Oliviera, titled, Self-portrait.

I really thought this was such a beautiful portrait. Her pose and expression are quite stunning. It sort of reminded me of a flower. I used a shot of a calla lilly, and manipulated it it fit the form of the model. I used the lasso tool to select the different portions of the lilly, then scaled and distorted them. I had a soft feather on the lasso so the portions would blend easier, and touched up with the air brush eraser.

I applied the calla lily as a screen mode, and another portion as normal. I made the seam at the fold in the lilly to help hide it. I used the lasso tool and slected quickly the inverted triangle the fold in the flower forms. I used this selection (with a strong feather) to copy from the portrait layer. I pasted this above the opaque portion of the lilly and adjusted the opacity, and blended it some.

When I had the form the way I liked it, I flattened the image and duped it 4 times. I added green to one, red and magenta to another, and yellow to a third...all with the color balance function. I applied a layer mask (hide all) to each of these and painted on the mask with white to allow the color to come through. I adjusted the opacity on each of these layers too.

Thank you very much pupila, for letting me work on your beautiful portrait.

I really liked this shot very much. I think lighthouse shots can be alot of fun to work with. The photographer had asked to remove a truck that was parked behind the lighthouse. I used the pen tool to select the entire structure, lasso tools will work fine too. I copied it to a new photo of a sunset. Duplicated the layer a couple times, and added a spotlight with the render lighting effects function. This allowed the lighthouse to have more subdued lighting.

I then used the polygonal lasso tool with different feathers on different layers, to add light beams by simply adding brightness and some contrats to the different selections. I flattened it (saving as a .psd file before flattening), and added a lensflare effect to the flattened .jpg file only.

Thanks jefe016 for letting me work on your awesome photo!

kontraster is a series of 18 images shot in Gothenburg, Sweden, in the spring of 2023. It focuses on the shades of trees and growth in contrast to the disciplined architecture of the city, where the low sun of the afternoon creates aa myriad of shades and details.

The Street Parade is with over 1 Million visitors the most attended technoparade in the world, since the end of Love Parade 2010. It takes place in Zurich, Switzerland and is the largest annual event in Zurich. Alain Berset, Switzerland's culture minister, and this year's president of the confederation, was among the 920'000 people attending the 30th Street Parade in Zurich.

Soldier's Silent Night | written by Lance Corporal James M. Schmidt, in 1987.

Later put to song by Father Ted Berndt and his daughter Ellen Stout.

Originally titled "Merry Christmas, My Friend" and written by Lance Corporal James M. Schmidt in 1987. The audio recording was done by Father Ted Berndt and his daughter Ellen Stout in just one take. Father Berndt has since passed away (3/19/2004), but his life's mission lives on - "to touch lives and make a difference."

At Christmastime while you are enjoying your time with family and friends, remember the soldiers spending Christmas away from their families and their country.

When you hit your knees tonight - say a prayer of thanks.

This photo was taken in the Gyeongbokgung Palace in Seoul, South Korea. The date this image taken was Jul 28th 2017. This photo shows one of the buildings of Korean Imperial Palace. This building can be found on the first stage of entering to the main imperial palace building. and it's called by "Geunjeongjeon". Its appearance is remarkably different from any other country style ones. So many groups of foreign visitors watch this curiously and interestingly in the palace area. The time this photo taken was at midnight so I took this photo by long exposure.
