Work In Progress [WIP] for January 2013 challenge: use blue.

How do you draw "light at the end of the tunnel"? Thank goodness for Google Images - how did artists find reference photos before the internet? A placement and value plan.

Sending some brightness to the people who need it.

Avenue of the Giants on a rainy day. The trees almost formed a tunnel over and above the roadway providing a lonely and desolate setting.

I'd have uploaded this earlier, but my laptop took a long detour through the Apple Store.

.. at the end of the tunnel. Taken when the sun was dropping and through this woodland clump of trees was a clear straight pathway ~ if only all pathways were this straight! :)

Light at the end of the tunnel?

At work today and still working to meet the almost constant deadlines to apply for more funding so that I might have a job next year. Still some light at the end of the tunnel: I have been shortlisted for one application that I made in January (although also found out that I wasn't shortlisted for last months application) and the application I am working on at the moment which is due in on Friday is almost finished! I just have one more this month, then another two next month...

Anyway, this was taken yesterday heading down to the beach, but I though it represented today reasonably well. I deliberately tried to increase the contrast between the dark foreground and the light at the end of the tunnel! I also think it links with yesterday's shot quite well.

In the utter darkness of our economic stumbling, illegal war, and insane acceptance of laws being violated in the name of the war, we are a society- a country- in the dark. Obama is the one small light we have to guide us from this terrible path we have been on with Bush. Obama is our hope, our light at the end of the tunnel.

... and inside.

I was able to climb up the ice with my icer's on and there was an opening between the rock and the back of the ice (frozen waterfall) of Borer's Falls that extended the full width of the waterfall. You can see the light at the end of the tunnel of the ice cave!

He searches the sources of rivers and brings hidden things to light. But where can wisdom be found? Where does understanding dwell? The fear of the Lord - that is wisdom, and to shun evil is understanding.

Remember the light at the end of the tunnel people talked about during the Vietnam War?

Well, I believe I may have found it. It's not really in a tunnel. It's in a roadway bridge over a canal. It isn't in the far east, either. It's in Manchester, Vermont near the independent Northshire Bookstore.
