My goal with this series is to explore every day scenes under the cover of darkness. A street corner, a lamp post, a doorway. Big city, small town, urban, rural. What you see is the shadow of a Japanese flowering crabapple tree (Malus floribunda) reflected through rain stained window.
I got this nice light and shadow situation with this swan at Feuersee in Stuttgart on film. He thankfully was patient enough to wait for me to get a good perspective.
The place where I am living is known for having only two seasons: winter and construction. Sometimes the untimely cold frost or snow would beat spring back so that it would seem that spring would never come. However, I never doubt spring will come as I saw the river flow again after it was frozen.
The spring is actually coming to my place each day until a night of warm wind brought its shine suddenly in one morning.
