"Every moment of light and dark is a miracle."
~ Walt Whitman
handmade light ball (made of clay) we bought years ago at an artisan Christmas market - still love it. You only need one tea light to let it glow and reveal its beautiful pattern : ))

Angels are intelligent reflections of light, that original light which has no beginning. They can illuminate. They do not need tongues or ears, for they can communicate without speech, in thought.

I seem to be shooting a lot in the dark these days. A lot to do with the time of year I guess.
But slowly the days are getting longer and it's a full moon tonight.
This was shot from my garden a few nights ago.
Anyone who enjoys inner peace is no more broken by failure than he is inflated by success.

These are rain droplets on a metal hand rail beside some steps in my local High Street. A slight bend in the hand rail generated the shadow.
Thanks for visiting.....
You take care out there.
They say that when your ears are burning, it means that someone is talking about you. In this case though, my ears weren't really burning; it was just the effect of sunlight shining through a high window behind me, and the look seemed like a good fit for the Smile On Saturdays "Light And Dark" theme. :-)

This shot was taken a year or so back at one of our Chalet Jams. There were three drummers that weekend taking turns.

Smile On Saturday - Light and Dark
This photo was taken during a sunnier season. The harsh midday sunlight created some nice dark shadows around the frog and foliage. Sometimes I need to take a walk through my archives during the dark and gloomy part of the year. :-)
Bird or photograph?
Some will lean more towards the photo...
(Impact/Quality/Event)
Some will lean more towards the bird...
(Rarity/Eye-catching/Popular)
I'm probably 65/35% in favour of the photo
And then 60%+ The impact of that photo
So this shot (for me) ticks many of my boxes
But it may not tick many of yours
And there's no criticism implied by saying that
It's just how you feel about your hobby
And after all., it's in only a Starling!
