This area was once plowed to be made into a strip mall of some sort. They placed the lamp posts and soon abandoned the project.

An Infrared study using a modified full-spectrum Lumix G1 with 12-32mm OIS lens fitted with an Orange filter.
I used my standard visible light post-proc (more or less) plus playing with Hue and White Balance (and occasional B&W conversion). SooC is usually yellow sky and lilac vegetation - cf www.stevehuffphoto.com/2014/03/28/friday-film-a-tribute-t....
Obviously - this is digital - I could emulate the navy skies and red veg of orange-filter Ektachrome, just by swapping colours. But I prefer (quite arbitrarily) to work with what my camera naturally comes up with.
It would be be difficult to emulate the subtlety of this in Photoshop, IMO - two leaves that look similar may reflect IR differently, based on health and, because water strongly absorbs IR., the extreme cloud patterns are "realistic" at the IR level.

align themselves on the light post. These birds are very common in Mumbai popularly known as Kabutar in local language. There are numerous places which are known as Kabutarkhana were people feed these birds.
So sometimes I have to bring out an old school camera (my trusty Lumix TZ5 in this case), since the iPhone has no flash :-). Anyway, crazy snow storm outside, snow flakes reflecting the flash light, post processing in CameraBag desktop.
