Burning in a hopeless dream

Hold me when you go to sleep

Keep me safe

We need light, we need love

Lift me up

Hold me down

Keep me safe

Safe and sound

♫♪♫

I can hear the rain again

Baby I'm looking down

Then back at you

Where you goin'?

Tell me, don't you want to see it through?

Oh it's tearing me apart

When your heart goes

Into silence

And I just want to hold you

When your spirit breaks in two

Hey baby

I wanna lift you up

Hey baby

I wanna lift you up

Love lives on forever

The thunder never lasts

So hold on, don't you worry

The sun is coming back

Hey baby

I wanna lift you up

In the distance

I can see it in your eyes

You're fading out

Head is underwater

Honey, don't you know?

You walk a solid ground

We can head into the dark

And I will follow

Right beside you

And when the night is falling

Won't let it get the best of you

I have been complaining over the years our Northern Mockingbirds are Bossy and chasing all the birds from the feeders,

Have not seen them lately, perhaps thats why for 5 minutes it was lifting its wings as to tell me here I am!

Taken from 50 feet away on top of our Arborvitae's.

Colorful Baltimore butterfly resting for a moment.

Considered locally common though not so abundant this year.

Schiffshebewerk Henrichenburg

The Prussian eagle has been emblazoned high above the Dortmund-Ems Canal on the imposing towers of the Henrichenburg ship lift in Waltrop for 120 years. To this day, the steel elevator for ships has lost none of its fascination. It was built to overcome a 14 meter high canal step. The plant was in operation for more than 60 years. Today the landmark is a popular destination with a water playground and boat tours. It offers a variety of opportunities to explore life and work on the water.

This dragonfly is "ON the FORK", but is also lifting off with it!

This is the result of an idea I had for this week's theme, which is proving to be extremely difficult and time consuming to do. It is not without its problems, and needs more work. But I decided to submit it "as is" now to get it posted on time in the Smile on Saturday group. I hope it will nevertheless bring a smile to you when you see it!

Theme: "On Forks"

Thank you for taking the time to view my photo, and for the faves and comments you make, thank you.

Sometimes it doesn't take much to catch my eye...

Wishing you all joy in action.

Thank you in advance for your interest and comments on my photos. That is much appreciated.

Please view at the full size of 1600. It's also more pleasure for you.

(I hope so)

This Eagle couldn't have been nicer to me as she turned towards the sun as she lifted.

Ich könnte mir vorstellen, dieser Flugkünstler würde einen frischen Fisch nicht ablehnen.

Where are the fish?

This photo shows 'Lift 109', a glass domed lift that rises through the middle of the north west chimney of Battersea power station.

This gives stunning 360° views of London.

It is called lift 109,because it is 109m to the top of the chimney.

It had only been open to the public for six weeks when this was taken.

As you can see, on this day, it was also offering good views of the Moon too!

I finally was able to get to the Ravines this morning with decent conditions. There was a light breeze and clear skies and the eagles did not disappoint me either.

Some unstable air and a soaring Mississippi kite share the same airspace.....
