Silverdale level crossing. This track comes from Carnforth through Silverdale to Grange and beyond via Arnside. There has been a couple of deaths here before due to the nature of the open barriers how ever this is down to not obeying the lights.
On the way from Jerusalem (~800 m above Sea Level) to the Dead Sea (~ 400 m below Sea Level) you'll pass this point, which is exactly Sea Level (0 m).
The view from the 17th floor of the Hilton Hotel on Manchester Deansgate, located inside the Beetham Tower. It is a fine hotel, with even finer views across the city.....
Despite levelling the score twice in the game, Lostock could not take the advantage and saw 2 second half goals from Garstang take the 3 points.

a level 5 alert fire is the highest level a fire can be gauged. a level 5 requires the assistance of all available firefighters to help control the situation. yesterday i came across this fire incident which was given this status as the conditions, high level winds, water shortage and very dry weather, induced the flames even further. this large fire razed through this community of urban informal settlers in metro manila scorching hundreds of houses that left hundreds of families homeless. firefighters were able to control the fire after 12 hours
This photo was cropped but no level adjustment was done nor any needed. I'm becoming pretty good at getting those straight out of camera from a moving car...Northbound Hwy-880 in Berkeley, CA.
A couple of attempts to get this shot, the craftsman was rather quick with the level the first time.
On processing I felt this would work for a selective colour image but I have this slight feeling that the use of the selective colour here detracts from the 'story' that the image naturally portrays. I seem to concentrate more on the level than on the scene and it was the scene that I 'saw' and wanted to take.

The Rocks is one of the oldest areas in Sydney. The Sandstone materials used in the construction in a lot of the structures in the area, combined with some narrow streets and well place lighting make it the ideal site for some night time HDR photos.
This particular shot is looking down what are known as the Argyle steps, presumably known as such because they lead down to Argyle Street.
With a lot of popular restaurants, pubs and other night spots in the area trying to take the brackets for this photos on a Saturday night probably wasn't the wildest ideas, with plenty of happy drunks wanting to play up to the camera. Thankfully the long exposures meant most of them just became an apparition in the scene.
Ironic because the rocks is the alleged sight of much ghostly activity so much so that regular ghost tours run in the area

The barriers where installed in 2009, in preparation for the line to be converted to ERTMS. Unfortunately, this meant that due to an overlap of track circuits in the station, the barriers couldn't be raised until a train had left the station, which when the train was early (sometime as much as 10 mines) the barriers where lowered, creating traffic, and causing passengers to miss their train.

I'm planning to take my photography to another level with the help of this Mavic Air drone.
It has been out on one successful mission using my iPhone 5s to monitor the flight (no photos).
The screen was just too small though so I'm now waiting for the support for my iPad Pro to arrive.

Tuesday, April 24, 2018 High-Level Luncheon held at the United Nations Headquarters in Manhattan, NYC.
Two days of meeting, April 24-25, 2018 between world leaders and UN representatives is being held at the UN, marked as High-Level Meeting on Peacebuilding and Sustaining Peace.
