A Queens-bound train arrives at the upper level of Queensboro Plaza. Due to a weekend GO, Queens-bound trains were running express from Queensboro Plaza to Mets-Willets Point, so the diamond bullet came out on the weekend.

The world beneath our feet can have some fascinating landscapes if we take the time to get down to ground level.....

Better if viewed at the larger sizes.

Dedicated to Funny Fish, who knows I've been wanting to do one of these for ages.

The High Level Bridge and LRT Bridge from the Walterdale. Bathed in a golden glow of sun rising. The train stopped for just a bit so I managed to capture it.

Taken at Ham Wall Nature Reserve on the Somerset Levels - such a friendly bird, it was only 8-10 inches away - it seemed to know that I'd give it some food - hard to resist taking a pic. (SOOC not cropped or adjusted/sharpened in any way - except changing a Raw file into a jpg)

This is the lower part of Femtån river where it's levels out in the lowlands.

Gradually, the water trapped behind the revetments finds it's way back to the sea. Not all returns to the sea before the next high tide, luckily for the small fish that are usually trapped in the pools behind the revetments.

After the shower, as the autumn sun lowers in the sky, driving often becomes blinding, hazardous.

Another shot from my trip to Linda Vista hospital several weeks ago. This was an on the spot idea which turned out ok.

Union Level, VA / USA - June 20, 2019: View of the overgrowth taking over the small alley way between the abandoned houses in the ghost town in Mecklenburg. Once a busy stop through southern Virginia, the town was abandoned after the interstate changed travel routes.

Once a very popular restaurant, it is now abandoned.
