I took this session with an old friend who recently got back into modeling. With my rebrand and website launch we decided to do quite a bit of stuff. When we got this photo, I knew wanted to use this for this assignment and make her into a porcelain doll.
She is sitting on a tree about 50 feet from a street. I edited this image originally in color and is a brighter image with some deep shadows. I masked the model and smoothed the color and texture of her skin, took away any blemishes other than the tear that was forming under her right eye. I had also masked the background to adjust the overall shadows and color of the trees. I then loaded it into photoshop. It took me about 9 times before I got this. I had used high resolution free downloadable images of concrete for the cracked skin affect. I took the image from my downloads folder and pulled it right into photoshop; from there I used levels, blending modes, and adjustment layers to create the cracked skin affect. And before I saved it, I through B&W onto it to see what it looked like, and I happen to like it more than the color.

- duplicate the image and use the levels tool to obtain the white background (pick white point).
- duplicate again the base image and move to the higher level.
- blend using hard light and adjust transparency.

Process: combined the images using soft light and levels + blend the rocks into the image to look like clouds (100 characters)
Revision: I think I could make the bottom portion where the bright house is darker so that it isn't a distraction from the sky. I could emphasize the clouds a little more by making them brighter. (185 characters)
