Price gouging at the gas pumps during Muhammed Ali's memorial services and funeral this week. Took a week to tidy the town up for his friends and family to visit and now you want to take them to the cleaners as well? For shame. Yet they do this for every "major venue" that comes to town, including the death of one of "their own".

Saw this on the grounds of Papa John's Corporate Headquarters here in Louisville - he really has quite a story (from Wikipedia):
The Papa John's restaurant franchise was founded in 1983 when "Papa" John Schnatter knocked out a broom closet in the back of his father's tavern, Mick's Lounge, in Jeffersonville, Indiana.[4] He then sold his 1971 Z28 Camaro to purchase $1,600 worth of used pizza equipment and began selling pizzas to the tavern's customers out of the converted closet.[5] His pizzas proved so popular that one year later he was able to move into an adjoining space. In 2009, Schnatter got the Camaro back by contacting the family that he sold the car to in 1983.[6]

Gates leading to Ashford Stud, a division of Coolmore Stud based in Ireland, where the first Triple Crown Winner in 37 years, American Pharoah, is currently standing stud in Versailles, Kentucky. Tours to Ashford are $25 per person and are booked solid though visitors are not guaranteed a glimpse of this unusal "athletically gifted" horse owned by New Jersey's Ahmed Zayat. The stud fee for 2016 is $200,000.
Ashford Stud purchased the breeding rights to American Pharoah from Ahmed Zayat in late 2014 for a reported $13.8 million. American Pharoah went on to become the first racehorse in 37 years to win the American Triple Crown. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coolmore_Stud

There is a massive cell tower on or adjacent to Ashford Stud's sprawling farm. I imagine American Pharoah's owner, trainers and Coolmore are aware of the effects of RFI on impaired fertility and have taken that into consideration when placing this Triple Crown Winner here prior to buying/selling breeding rights. I do know Coolmore in Ireland is now aware of the conundrum. www.bioinitiative.org/conclusions/
American Pharoah is now breeding mares 3xday, 7 days per week. It was reported this unusually muscular horse did pull a back muscle earlier and was given two weeks off from this non-stop breeding cycle but has been put back on this breeding cycle once again. The outcome of the fate of any live foals will not be known until 2020.
I have contacted the FCC to ascertain their recommended physical distance for cell towers to various structures, natural areas & preserves, livestock, etc.... No one I spoke with there was familiar with what those recommendations were - I spoke with an Allison who connected me w. OET - Office of Engineering and Technology 202-418-2470. I left a voice mail asking for this information on 1 June 2016 along with my phone number. Left a 2nd VM message on 15 June 2016 - gave my email address as well as my phone number yet again.

Cell towers can cause arrythmias, neuropathy, nerve demyelination, behavioral changes, autism, interference w. medically implanted devices, etc...
(note the civilian version of the below document is "different") - the RFEF's (radio frequency electromagnetic fields) travel downward much like the letter "A" and outward dependent on the height of the tower, frequencies and the number of transmitters - yet this does not include satellite transmissions from DISH networks, unregistered, unregulated pole & roof transmitters & antennas, etc - and no one in Louisville (and many other municipalities) is inspecting, monitoring, regulating or knows what those standards are as many are hidden or camouflaged. Neither did the FCC when contacted. The recommended standards in the USA are much more lax than Europe's with no accountability or enforcement. Local Governments have zero input as to placement of these towers as of 2014 unless they conflict with certain criterion or the Water Tower in a previous photo (there is a tower attached to that which is directly atop a "protected natural area". Robin is a homeless woman in Louisville, Kentucky. (Age 68, according to her).. She was gainfully employed and had a home two years ago until her Mother whom she was caring for passed away. Her right leg became inflamed - she went to St. Mary's hospital. They amputated her leg. She did not have diabetes. She was denied disability by both her employer, Cafe Press, and the Social Security Administration disability office here in Louisville, Kentucky. She said she had an attorney who is "working on it". She states she had other items in a backpack that some kids had stolen. No cell phone.
This is next to a bus stop canopy where 3 individuals were sitting waiting for the bus.
She said prior to today Starbucks would not allow her inside - I did speak with Starbucks today and they stated she could go in while waiting for help from the Homeless Coalition of Louisville, who was notified. Starbucks (and their patrons) said they could not bring her any food.
Shiraz down the street offered a bottle of water but stated they would not let her in the store until they contacted the owner. I accepted the water for her and left.
McDonalds offered a fruit and yogurt parfait.
Smash Burgers manager gave $5 which we put toward some shampoo and deodorant and a Snickers bar from Walgreens (who gave us a discount) - these are what she'd said she needed at the moment.
Eastern Area Community Ministries gave the phone number for the Homeless Coalition although she states she's already been there. They offered to help her with food and additional resources but she had to get to their location. I could not fit Robin and her wheelchair in my car and it was a long way for Robin to wheel in the rain, uphill.
Matt Bevin, our Governor, is very proud of Kentucky. Not sure why. For shame, Mayor Fischer.
There were two other people in this area looking for help - one was a Veteran looking for work and had 2 kids at home, the other was a homeless man with a disabled son - they still had a car they were living in. I asked the Vet to keep an eye on Robin while I attempted to get her help - he said he would. I felt she was in very good hands - she was very appreciative of whatever help she received today. She was not there later in the afternoon.
Louisville's Homeless Outreach Team stated they would attempt to locate her - last contact was one year ago. They stated if they see her they would try to get her some McDonald's gift cards and a hygiene pack.
This corner has also been the favorite place for "The Lord's Kitchen Ministries" - www.thelordskitchen.com/ - that is where I'd spoken to a Veteran who was standing there - Richard Schuster - who'd stated he was also denied disability benefits. Richard said The Lord's Kitchen needed volunteers to help cook and serve at their facility.
As of today, December 18, 2018, I do not know Robin's status.

At Beckley Park (part of The Parklands of Floyds Fork there is plenty of room and activities for everyone - playgrounds and spray parks for kids, walking, scenic views, hiking, biking and jogging trails, 4 canoe and kayak access points (hopefully they'll have rentals there one day), mountain biking, sports fields for kicking around a soccer ball or a friendly football game, throwing frisbees, etc... a fabulous Bark Park, Community Gardens, K-6 Science Camps, school field trips, Family Programs, community workshops, birthday parties, Interpretive Hikes, Scout Programs, and so much more!
