The town of Amagon, Arkansas (Population: 95) can stake claim to being the birthplace of Governor Mike Beebe. His campaign commercials made sure to inform us that he was born there in a tar paper shack. As this shot indicates, it's a real action packed town. It must have been a gut wrenching decision to move to Searcy and become a powerful State senator before becoming Governor this past January.

Maria's taking extra clogging lessons for a few weeks, playing catch-up from when her teeny-tiny clogging shoes were on backorder. Sometimes it's just Maria and one other girl, a friend of hers from school. Luckily these extra lessons are at her teacher's local studio so we don't have to journey to Little Town Down the Highway more than once a week.

Day 293: This year Maria is trying a new dancing style that's popular in these parts: clogging. Clogging is related to tap-dancing, but the special shoes have double taps. The music is fast, and the shoes are incredibly loud. During every step and maneuver, all the cloggers are supposed to hit the floor at the same moment so that the multitude of shoes sound like ONE HUMONGOUS SHOE.
