Love this dress fabric. It was a clearance fabric and I only got a quarter of a yard. Wish I had gotten more. :-(

Poor Midge never gets the OOAK treatment. I re-did her completely and gave her a long American Girl Style hair and side glancing green eyes.

OK, folks - some B&W shots from Namibia.
A few shots this week from the fabulous team at the Kalahari Anib Lodge who seem to love their jobs so much that they dance and sing their way through the evenings, much to the delight, amusement and consternation of the guests!
Excuse the graininess as the shots were in low-light conditions so I had to whack up the ISO settings to capture these scenes.

We are still getting windy days and all the flowers are dancing and swaying.
Textures added are 'Feathered Gold' by pareeerica (soft light 50%) and 'Subtly Yours' by Kim Klassen (soft light 88%).
Plus a blank layer where I darkened the corners slightly with a soft brush then blended (soft light 60%).

Best viewed in large size. This was taken at the September 2009 edition of "Dancing with Our Stars." A few days previously, I had posted a few pictures of Miss Amber rehearsing this dance with her partner, and on their big night I got a couple of good pictures of both of them during the actual performance, which I will post later. (Of the rehearsal photos I posted here, my favorite is this one.)
The image shown here is cropped the way it is for two reasons. First, I wanted to include the "Let's Dance" sign in the background; and second, I also wanted to include the hat in the corner. No, they were not performing anything like the Mexican hat dance here, but Miss Amber's partner was wearing the hat as part of his costume, and early in the performance it fell off his head. I don't believe that was part of their script, but if it in fact was not, they quickly made the necessary adjustments to their routine and finished it without any other noticeable glitches.
This "Let's Dance" 7", signed by David Bowie, was auctioned off on December 4, 2009 for Rock For Kids and raised $500 to help provide music lessons for children who wouldn't be able to afford it otherwise.
Thanks to Mike Kightly for this donation.
